Stayed here on a recent trip to SIx Flags Magic Mountain.

The location was a mere 5 minutes from the park, on a quiet street in-between the freeway and grassy hill mountain. Our room faced the freeway and we could not hear a thing. There are all sorts of places to eat in the immediate area, and an In and Out Burger right across the street!

The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The microwave and the refrigerator were great, but beware - set on high, the refrigerator will freeze everything!

GREAT hot breakfast! Everything you could imagine and plenty of seating inside and around the pool.

Didn't use the pool, but ate breakfast next to it one morning. Very clean, and nicely landscaped.

The hotel is dog friendly and had enough grass around the hotel to take your pooch for a walk if needed. Didn't hear any barking, nor did we see any droppings in the grass.

This is probably the nicest looking hotel in the immediate area, would highly recommend. May be slightly overpriced, but most likely because of its location to Six Flags.

We had 3 large golden retrievers that we split up between our 2 rooms. Check in was a little complicated because they had over booked the hotel. But they still gave us our 2 rooms we reserved, just not together or even on the same floor. But this was not a dealbreaker. It was great that there was no extra fee for pets there. There is a large dog walking area in the back of the pool area, and also an outdoor seating area where you could bring your dog to hang with while eating breakfast. The rooms or maybe just a tad small, but this is probably because they fit 2 queen beds in there which were very comfortable. The only minor downside was the elevator was excruciatingly slow. Almost easier to take the stairs which we did 90 percent of the time to save time. We did hear some neighbors upstairs and next door and in the hallway a bit, but it wasn't so noisy to wake you up. We chose this hotel in the area because it was dog friendly and they lived up to their expectations. Breakfast had a decent selection too. Nice, clean place and would go back.

Very nice place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast area was nice and had good variety of healthy choices! The pool area was clean and in the back of the hotel near the hillside which made it quiet and relaxing if you wanted to sit in the spa. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend to a friend that would be staying in the area near Six Flags or passing through on the 5.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms

Cons: Kinda plain furnishings

Overall nothing bad, just kinda plain. I prefer the Hampton next door for similar price.

I was very happy with my stay at La Quinta Inn, particularly because they accept pets and it can be a challenge to find a pet friendly hotel. The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I find myself in the area and need a place to lay my head.

My family and I were forced into a hotel after issues at our former home forced us to make a fast change. We went to this hotel because of their pet-friendly policy.

At first, things went great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, everything you'd want from a hotel staff. Because of unrelated issues at our bank, we were unable to use our own funds to pay, so friends, family, and our attorney covered the bill for us. Apparently, this is a major red flag to them...

After a brief stay at another hotel due to a scheduled power outage, we came back here, and moved into a corner suite. We worked from "home" during this time, as we were also busy making arrangements for new housing.

For various reasons, these arrangements took a lot longer than anticipated, and that's when things got ugly...

We were in the process of arranging payment for another set of days with our attorney. He got called away on an emergency, and we asked for a short extension to the normal noon checkout time to arrange alternate payment, in case he couldn't get free in time to handle it himself. The General Manager was completely unsympathetic, and refused to work with us in any way.

We had joined their "Rewards" program, and racked up quite a lot of points. We called their hotline, hoping to arrange to use some of those points to cover that day. The CSR offered to call the hotel and intercede with the GM, while the points issue was resolved.

We walked back into the lobby to a screaming GM. "I'm throwing you out of here! How dare you try to go over my head like that!"

At this point, my mother-in-law is standing in the lobby, credit card in hand, ready to pay for the night. We never got a word in against this woman's fury, as she threatened to call the police and have us forcibly ejected from her property. "I don't care if you call the (--)president (of the company), you'll never stay here again!"

We packed up 2 adults, 3 kids, and 2 cats in a matter of moments. Less than ten minutes later, we were crammed into my mother-in-law's car, leaving the property before the cops showed up.

Subsequent calls to the corporate offices resulted in a litany of lies, disinformation, and ultimately, no worthwhile action whatsoever. We were given absolutely NOTHING as compensation for the way we were treated. We were also told by the "Director of Franchise Relations" that we were under a lifetime ban from the Valencia property, which is the only property in a convenient location. Apparently, the "GM" is also the franchisee, and owns the property.

Now, I can absolutely guarantee I'd never go back to this hotel again, so a lifetime ban means nothing. The fact that a national hotel chain cares so little about the absolutely horrid treatment given to it's guests by one of its agents is completely unforgivable.

Did I mention that we were thrown out 4 days before Christmas? Yeah...we were thrown out of La Quinta hotel, 4 days before Christmas, after spending close to $3000 to stay there, because we dared to ask for an extra hour to make payment arrangements.

Your experience may differ. I hope like hell it does, for your sake.
