We were at the resort due to the annual sales celebration. Colleagues from around the world. Was an excellent choice. Good location, friendly staff, delicious food, very good selection of wine... My wife and I have spent 4 days there and would not mind spending a longer period..

Room Tip: Thare are no words. It is magnefique

Visiting this island for the first time, we did not know what to expect. Our reason for choosing this resort was the combination of a quiet resort with golf. We had stayed in Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados for 12 days before so the high standard of hotel had already been set. We flew in from Barbados, a flight of just under an hour, with a touch down on Union Island. We were greeted by the Resort representative and we were taken directly to our villa where the check in procedure took place. Whaw! The villa was enormous, high up the hill with its own pool. The fridge was full of complimentary non alcoholic drinks, fruits, chocolates, crisps and peanuts etc. Two electric golf carts were provided for us to take us around the resort. While our bags were handled by the complimentary unpacking service, we were shown around the resort by Thelma Roberts, our hostess for the duration of our stay. We were introduced to Jonathan and Mark at the golf centre who guided us to on the golf procedure. There were two dining areas available with one only being open as we visited in low season. The two were open alternating evenings. The menus were giving ample choice and the quality of food was excellent and the restaurant staff made us feel like Royalty. Amazingly efficient and friendly.
We had pre booked golf for 3 out of our 5 days. The golf course is really fine with the first 10 holes being relatively straight forward with not too many hazards. From the 11th you climb up the hill which culminates on the 13th hole where you get a spectacular view of the neighbouring Grenadine islands. The course is challenging and in very good condition with the greens being relatively true with little or no influence of the grain of the grass.
We had lunch by the private Shell beach every day where the menu gives lots of flexibility and we were often tempted to have the spiny lobster. The service on the beach was fast and very pleasant. Water sport is available and complimentary, although we did not take advantage of this. What we did was chartering the 40 foot day cruiser for half a day which took us to Tobago Cays and Mayreau island, the smallest of the populated Grenadine islands. At the Cays we snorkelled with the Turtles and took some amazing underwater photos.
Right now there is a new hotel being in construction and shortly to be opened called Pink Sands Club. We may well give this a try next time we visit this paradise island.
We enjoyed a sports massage in the temporary massage area which will later be moved adjacent to the new hotel.
From having little expectations of this new venture of ours, we were entirely taken in by the friendliness of everyone connected to the resort and the willingness of everyone to make our stay pleasant. Compared to many Caribbean resorts, this is less expensive.
Make no mistake, we will be back here very soon.

Room Tip: Any of the villas give a fine location.

This place is amazing. The rooms are huge with spectacular views (and your own huge plunge pool). The food is excellent. I get bug bites a lot in the Caribbean and I came back with almost none! My favorite part was the golf. This is one of the best golf courses I have ever experienced. The holes are challenging (back nine a lot harder than the front nine) and they views unbelievable from every hole.

The ONLY downside was the sand on the beach was not the best. Not the fine sand I am used to.

Room Tip: Spa was under construction. Wish the water views were open, but the message was still great.

Oh supreme real carib , hopes are high .... so much hype .... but actually missing something , ... wonderful golf , but too dominating to island , rumours of sales , money issues and just not where one should end up for the price .... food way off even for the islands , a real feeling noone owns your issue and just more american show .... get out and about management and close the gaps that sets you off the highest standard .... do take boat to other islands , incredible days ....

Room Tip: ocean facing says it all

We stayed in February to celebrate my husband's birthday and Valentine's Day. Of course, our luggage was delayed and although it was not their fault, the follow up could use some work since I personally called Barbados to get information from the Airline because their information was completely incorrect and the luggage did not arrive on the next flight as promised.

Overall, the service was great; some folks stood out more than others such as Vince & Koya at the beach and Gideon was picked us up from the airport and seemed to be able to communicate effectively to management when something was wrong.

Mathieu, the one food & bev manager was wonderful; he made you feel welcome and attended to your needs. The other one was very stand off'ish and rarely came to our table to see if our needs were met and if they weren't, was not aware of them and made no attempt to close the gap.

We had great days out on the links; the staff was great as were the women at Bellini's knew our names on our 1st full day.

What made the trip not so wonderful? We had money stolen from our room; they investigated and never got back to us as to the disposition. There were cockroaches on multiple occasions in our room; they left bug spray for us but never took care of the problem. We reported it several times and upon writing the resort upon our return, the rooms manager's response was condescending at best and not sincere.

It it nice to see others had a great time but with a resort of this supposed caliber and iffy attention to detail, for this category of resort, there are much better choices and people who will actually treat you like they want you to come back. I do not have this feeling especially with the last response of "We hope your memories of us remain." Really, I could tell you what I think of that but it is not worth it.
