This guesthouse is run by Molly and she is easily the hardest working woman on Culebra. It looks humble/rustic on the outside, but it is really well-equipped for your vacation, including private bath, comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms and no bugs (nearly impossible on this very buggy island!) Molly included a refrigerator in the room which was really useful, and outside our room was a screened in porch/kitchenette. This provided a functional kitchen/dining area, and a hang out area (with hammock) that made our living space seem that much bigger. It is helpful to buy a few simple grocery items when you get there; because the laid back Puerto Rican attitude sometimes means no restaurants are open or perhaps are not open when you want them to be. Molly also has an above-ground pool which I think is pretty rare on this island, and a nice treat. There are beach accessories provided to guests free of charge; and we really gave the snorkeling equipment a workout. It was nice to have that provided without having to either buy it or lug our own from home.
I should also add that in terms of location, the Casita is kind of in between downtown and flamenco beach; you could walk to either if you are somewhat fit. Most people take a cab or rent a jeep because it's just hot and there are no sidewalks to the beach. I personally can't think of a location that would be better, because nothing is going to be central to everything.
Molly herself is a really friendly person, providing lots of advice on what to do, and what not to do! Molly even provided us a ride to the beach a couple of times and a ride to the grocery. Naturally we did not expect it, but Molly even cooked all her guests a meal on our last night there, and I think nothing shows how much you care about people than to cook them a loving (and delicious!) meal. We had a beyond wonderful time, and we intend to come back. We would not even consider staying anywhere but Casita Tropical. Thank you Molly!

Love, love, love me some Molly. What a great host. Made the trip all it was and then some. Can't forget Sophie girl too. Thanks Molly for an amazing trip and the wonderful hospitality. Everything you suggested was great. Would not have had the experience I did if it wasnt for you. Made new friends with our neighbors because of you and the shared porch area. What a way to travel....Cant wait to come back. Consider yourself warned...lol

The casita tropical is ran by Molly who is absolutely great. This is not a fancy place by far, but it is clean, roomy, and pretty centrally located. Molly will pick u up from the airport, take u to the store, and give u a tour thru town. However, I recommend u rent a jeep or golf cart, because it is about at a mile walk to town. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Molly!

My 15 year old son and I spent five days at the Casita Tropical. The room was small, but clean and opening onto a nice screened-in porch shared with the neighbors. Mostly, Molly helped make this a wonderful stay, picking us up at the ferry, taking us grocery shopping, dropping us off at the beaches and generally giving us good advice. I highly recommend Casita Tropical.

I stay with my family here for 4 days and Molly was great! She bends over backwards to make your stay very pleasant! My kids loved her dog Sophie!

So we had no problem checking in, great, open the house and wow! That's a lot of space, the kitchen was big, the living room was big and had DISH hooked up! The bathroom had all kind of things that you may need in Culebra such as lotion, sunscreen, Aloe, etc. She also had a common area by her pool (it's a 3' off the ground) which is great! My kids and I really loved the pool! There is an outdoor shower area, which we made it a mandatory stop after returning from the beach, so we don't bring sand to the house! There are a few things such as ice cooler, boogey boards, chairs, umbrella, snorkelling gear and bikes that she lets you borrow as long as you bring them back! (Some of these items are worn, from other ppl using them! So don't expect Molly to make a trip to Walmart to get new items!!!) Just know that no one else in Culebra does this!

We loved our time at Casita Tropical, it was relaxing and stress free!

Thanks Molly for being such a great host!
