Three bachelor friends and me the married one stayed at this very nice guesthouse. All the amenities you need. All appliances, dishware, beautiful dock and patio. Right on the main drag and within walking distance of the town. A bit pricey but clean and it's in a good location. Only problem was that the water was turned off for many hours as the town was working on the sidewalks.

Room Tip: three different rooms Main(grande) overlooked water

Our family chose to stay at Casa Ensenada for our trip to Culebra, PR, and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! The manager, Mimi, was a pleasure to work with from the moment we booked -- she was incredibly accommodating and willing to address all of our questions/concerns.

The guesthouse, with all its wacky, beach-themed decor, is absolutely adorable. Our family (six of us total) stayed in the "Grande" room, which was complete with a bathroom (towels and hangers provided), bedroom with a king size bed, kitchen (stocked with every appliance and utensil we could think of), living area with a dining table, television, and two futons (sheets, pillows, and blankets were all provided). It's also entirely air-conditioned, provided free wi-fi, and was very clean.

The back of the house overlooks the water, and the outdoor patio contains plenty of beach chairs you can use to lounge and take in the view. They also provided a kayak for guest use, and even a gas grill (we barbecued our first night!). Everything there felt so accessible and comfortable; we were on an unfamiliar, yet gorgeous, island, and we felt right at home.

The house is also perfectly located -- we rented golf carts during our stay (which I'd also highly recommend!), and only took about 10 minutes to drive to both Flamenco Beach and Tamarindo Beach. It's also only about a five-minute walk from the ferry dock, and it's easy to explore restaurants, kiosks, and gift shops near that area on foot.

Honestly, I don't think we could've asked for a better stay -- nowhere have we felt so at home; it was a great feeling. The one thing I would mention would be that it is difficult to get rid of mosquitoes in the house (so have your bug spray handy!), but the house is so quaint and our experience so nice, that they were hardly an issue. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone thinking about a weekend getaway on Culebra in a heartbeat, and am already hoping I'll get another chance to visit and stay there again!

My cousin turned us onto this wonderful guesthouse in Culebra. It on the water (back) and is right on the main drag. Updated clean rooms and nice outdoor patio. Easy to get to car rental and ferry dock (1 mile).

Room Tip: Call in advance as this place books up.

Nice little property on the waterfront. We made use of the kitchen to help keep costs down and were glad to find that coolers were provided to use on beach outings. A binder in the room provides information and phone numbers for everything you may need while on the island. Stay away from the ferry area when arrivals are coming in. If you're staying out of season pay attention to the scaled back hours of gift shops and restaurants. Everyone on the island is very friendly and willing to give tips and directions, although directions aren't as difficult on this small island.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms available. We stayed in the Grande which is the largest and in the center of the guesthouse. All outdoor amenities are shared on a first come bases.
