We recently went to Culebra for the day (from the mainland of Puerto Rico) and had lunch at Mamacitas. The food and drinks were excellent and the hostess/waitress (from Maryland area) was very nice and helpful.
We loved the atmosphere at Mamacitas and would plan on going to eat / drink there again if we go back sometime to Culebra.

We did not stay at Mamacitas, but have had relatives who have and have enjoyed and our the reason why we stopped at the restaurant to try it out for lunch. We loved how it was on a canal and that people were arriving by boat and the tropical feel that is felt at the restaurant.

This place was great. The bar was one of the coolest and happening bars on the island. The restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast, was awesome (get the whole fried chillo if they have it). The location was great and they took care of everything quickly but still with chill and relaxed style, typical of the Culebrense. It is a great place to go with a girlfriend (which is what I did) or wife for a romantic trip but it's also a place where you could go with a few friends to go enjoy Culebra. Two thumbs up.

looked for some serious r n'r in culebra but alas did not find it at mamacita's guesthouse- room was far from clean, bedsheets were changed twice during a 5 night stay, ceiling leaked during rains and front of house was less than helpful at all times. for such a poor experience, was completely overpriced.

Found it through the internet, definetely a perfect choice for Culebra. The staff is friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious, a nice kitchen, A/C, cable TV, hot water and in the middle of everything. You can take the ferry in about a 5 minutes walk. There's a restaurant/bar at the guest house where you can dock your boat or you can choose from a variety of bars and restaurants to go within walking distance.

If you are looking for a quiet little place to just get away, with a good little restaurant and bar; then look no further. Mamacitas Guest House is only a few blocks from the port (Ferry), walking distance, like 3 blocks; close to the airport and near a few restaurants/bars. One of the most beautiful beaches in the Island (at least in my opinion), Flamenco Beach, is only minutes away... just get one of the many Cab services to give you a ride there, you can snorkel, lay out, sight see or just sit down and relax with one of the most splendid views of the island. Night life is not very active, Culebra is more of a place to come enjoy the day and enjoy a nice quiet dinner at one of the nicer restaurants or if you are up for it, maybe a few drinks & wings at one of the bars and call it a night.

There are a one or two water tour/"taxi cab" services that can take you to great locations that are unreachable by foot or somewhat private... and this are also Amazing sights. If you find someone, ask for a trip to Culebrita... you will not believe what you see, but there has to be favorable boating conditions.

I enjoyed my stay at Mamacitas last summer very much... I was just looking to go back for New Years but I am sure its too late, it books up months in advance.

Thank you all for a great time!
