“One Of The Best Beaches In The World”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

This is definitely one of the finest beaches in the world. The water is turquoise blue and the sand as soft as sugar. There is almost no development on the beach and it is surrounded by. Lush rainforest. There are some basic bathrooms, chair rental stands, and a few places to order food. The main attraction is undoubtedly the beach. If you are within 500 miles of this beach you owe it to yourself to visit.

That being said getting to this beach ain't easy. The beach is on the island of Culebra. There is a ferry that goes daily, but getting on that fairy is truly a travel nightmare. We arrived an hour early for the ferry on a Monday morning and still were too late to get a seat. The way they manage the Ferry boat system reminded me of a bad movie.

Rather then try the ferry again we booked an excursion to the island via a private boat trip Company in Fajardo. The money I spent on the charter with East Island Excursions was literally the best money I ever spent. We arrived on the island in one hour while riding in a beautiful boat with cocktails and food along the way. After the nightmare of dealing with the Ferry a few days prior thi private charter was the way to go.

Regardless of how you do it find a way to get to this island. You will not be disappointed. It is truly a place that belongs on everyone's bucket list.

“a stunningly beautiful beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

Spending the day at Flamenco Beach is the perfect way to spend your day. The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft and white between your toes, the waves are perfect - not too strong and not too quiet, and there are chair/umbrella rentals, kiosks selling cold drinks and beach food, showers/bathrooms, and free parking. There is snorkeling, but it's not great; much better at nearby Tamarindo Beach.

“Absolutely gorgeous!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

This place is really paradise! Crystal clear water as far as you can see and fantastic snorkeling thats right off the beach. Sand is as soft as powder. We took an 8 seater prop plane to the island and that was an experience! To say the least! But plane ride to the island was over the water and was absolutely breath-taking. We highly recommend seeing this island if you have time.
