This is definitely one of the finest beaches in the world. The water is turquoise blue and the sand as soft as sugar. There is almost no development on the beach and it is surrounded by. Lush rainforest. There are some basic bathrooms, chair rental stands, and a few places to order food. The main attraction is undoubtedly the beach. If you are within 500 miles of this beach you owe it to yourself to visit.
That being said getting to this beach ain't easy. The beach is on the island of Culebra. There is a ferry that goes daily, but getting on that fairy is truly a travel nightmare. We arrived an hour early for the ferry on a Monday morning and still were too late to get a seat. The way they manage the Ferry boat system reminded me of a bad movie.
Rather then try the ferry again we booked an excursion to the island via a private boat trip Company in Fajardo. The money I spent on the charter with East Island Excursions was literally the best money I ever spent. We arrived on the island in one hour while riding in a beautiful boat with cocktails and food along the way. After the nightmare of dealing with the Ferry a few days prior thi private charter was the way to go.
Regardless of how you do it find a way to get to this island. You will not be disappointed. It is truly a place that belongs on everyone's bucket list.
