My husband and I rented a car from islaverde and drove through Luquillo to Fajardo. It's about a 2.5 hour drive. We stayed at the Fajardo Inn, then the next morning went to the Ferry dock in Fajardo, and Kayaking PR had a representative that took us across the Ferry. The Ferry is about 50 mins to Culebra. We spent the morning at Flamingo Beach, such a beautiful beach so amazing. Brian was our tourguide - really great! The beach had these little shacks with fresh fish, great fruit mixed drinks and smoothies - awesome beach food. Then we got on a bus to Tamarindo Beach where we kayaked and snorkeled. Wish we had more freedom to explore the coral on our own for those that are comfortable swimming on their own. Brian had to try to make everyone happy and stay together so we only did a little bit of exploration. He told us about all the coral and the names of each of them. That was a little boring. We really only wanted to swim with the fishes and the turtles. Would have been nice to have some free time to just explore on our own. Brian was really good at finding the sea turtles. That was really amazing!! Getting to swim with the turtles was magical. A small turtle swam up to my husband and they had a special moment where the turtle did a little dance and swam right up to inches from his nose. It was pretty crazy beautiful. Overall, really great trip. Brian and Christian took a lot of pictures and shared it on facebook which was awesome. So we got to see what we looked like under water with all the turtles!

Is a great experience. And we learned a lot during the Culebra excursion. We snorkle a lot and were able to be next to sea turtles. However, it has been three months and we haven't receive the pictures they promised that week. I was really looking forward to see my husband swimming next to the a turtle, since I missed it.

Definitely well worth it. This was the highlight of my trip. I loved the tour guides, especially Edwin! It was such a wonderful experience. We got to see turtles, stingrays, an octopus that inked, a couple different starfish, and they took wonderful pictures throughout the whole excursion that are included! Kayaking was fun and the bus that they drive you in has a fog machine and lazers and music, it's like a party bus. Haha! OH and I almost forgot, Flamenco beach! We actually got 2 whole hours there rather than the 1 hour we were expecting, and it was FABULOUS. We got fresh fruit smoothies from the kiosks outside and they were delicious. The water was the perfect refreshing but warm temperature, and SUPER clear & turquoise! Just amazing. Go. Do it. :P

What a wonderful exsperience. I was so surprised with how educational the excursion was. Brian and Christian where so passionate and knowledgeable about the reef and all the life in and around it. Brian talked about all the coral and fish and even freedived down to point everything out as he exsplained it. Christian was a great guide for the turtles, educating us about their life and their future. DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND this adventure.
