Met the KPR rep in Fajardo, got our tickets for the ferry and off we were to Culebra. The water was a bit rough, staff on ferry was kind enough to hand out barf bags and most people used them, felt like it was a scene of a movie! Once we got to Culebra, I saw the KPR guide Edwin and he directed us to the bus. Took the 7 min drive to Flamenco Beach as Edwin pointed out landmarks and some history of the island. Flamenco beach is beautiful! It has bathrooms, showers, kiosks (food stands) and beach chair/umbrella rentals. They also have a "store" when you can buy bathing suits, sunscreen, boogie boards, etc. We were there for a bit and got to enjoy the beautiful beach of Flamenco. We then boarded the bus and went to Tamarindo beach, Edwin was kind enough to give us a kayak 101 for us rookies. Here we also met Edwin's colleagues, forgot their names, one of them was a surfer which never forgot our names during the entire tour! We proceeded to take the kayaks and went snorkeling. The coral reef is beautiful, it's a preserved area, very clean and lots to see. Got back on the kayaks and headed to a different part of the beach where you get to snorkel with turtles and sting rays, the high light of the excursion! The staff of KPR sure makes the difference, they made you feel safe, appreciated, and welcomed to the Puerto Rico. You have to do this tour!!!!!!!!!! Big shout out to Edwin and his colleagues the surfer and the photographer (thanks for the directions to Bio Bay)
