We wanted a quick, cheap dinner with "local" flavor. Chef Eric's place provided that. We shared a traditional Puerto Rican chicken stew with rice and peas and a side of orange chicken thighs. Chef suggested his freshly made spicy mango pepper sauce to go along with it. Both chicken dishes were tender and flavorful and the mango sauce was just the right amount of heat. All at a price that was less than the two mojitos that we had just ordered at the Dinghy Dock! Highly recommended for great food at a great price with great service - from Chef Eric himself

No pictures bc we devoured it too fast. Honestly we wish we could've found this place earlier. We stumbled upon this spot after sitting down and reading the menu at Caracol. We saw the locals lining up at this place and thought to ourselves... why are we not there?!? Best decision of the trip. Meal for two: half pound chicken, beef broth rice with meat chunks, plantains, yuca, and soda for $14 out the door. Crazy steal of a deal. At Caracol that would've bought us a appetizer and still would've been disappointed. They open at 10am and we will be there for lunch tomorrow.

We stumbled upon this place after choosing to pass on caracols down the street. This place had locals trickling in and was packed by the time we were forks deep into our meal.

We ordered the 1/2 lb. BBQ chicken, beef broth rice, sweet plantains and yuca. SO GOOD! The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, rice was cooked perfectly with a beef rib in it, plantains were sweet and savory & yuca had a garlic flavor combo that made it the best yuca I have had to date!

If only we had found this place before our last night in Culebra, we would have probably eaten here 2+ times a day here. Prices & food are an amazing value!!

Oh and try the pique sauce, it's a local hot sauce at the front counter - it pairs very well with their plates.

We were out looking for another restaurant and didn't find it so we landed up here. You just go to counter and put order in. We both had the chicken and sweet potato. The barbeque sauce was on the side. The chicken was a little dry and lacked moisture. Probably would not go back.
