“A unique place in the west....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2012

Yo umust have Chano Chicken and then get back to me. You will agree that the Chicken is great. There is a nice sitting area, but it is usually full. Many people order to go and eat in el Parque COlon, which has sitting areas, or you can eat by the beach from your car. Keep the trash for yourself, please.

Parking is crazy, so grab a spot and walk towards the place. Beware and dont park, or get caught parking, in the police station in front of the place.

I've stood in line for over an hour to wait for the chicken to be available. They sell drumstick and thigh orders, and breast orders. If you have to wait in line, stick to the breast order.

“This is perfect food for that beach day!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2011

The place is very close to the Aguadilla beach, and if you go to this city is a MUST. I would suggest to go with people that know the area and will help you with the food choices... and don't go expecting low-fat food!!! This is the greasy bag local food!

“Chicken is good, but not out of this World”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2011

The old Chano Chicken, (Original Owner) was great, when the father passed away and the kids took over it all changed cause it no longer have Chanos TLC. Pretty good for Fried Chicken and Fries, but nothing out of this world...... its real claim to fame was/is that the Chicken and Fries is CHEAP!!!! =)
WARNING: Its not in the Safest part of town!!!

PS i doubt the KFC-Colonel Myth because KFC has been around before Chano.

“Love Chanos Chicken!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2010

I went to Puerto Rico in 2006 with my boyfriend. His family lives in aguadilla which is right where chano's is located. They all talked about how good the chicken is, so I decided to make it one of the first places we ate when we arrived. We walked down through the town to the small restaurant. We ordered what we wanted at the tiny take out window and in no time we had fresh fried chicken and fries. Another good part of the meal was the dip they give you for the fries, seemed to be a mixture of mayo and ketchup, but it was yummy. The chicken was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Every time any of us go down to Puerto Rico we have to stop at Chano's for their delicious chicken! It is also said in Puerto Rico that the colonel (KFC) himself had some of chano's chicken and tried to buy the recipe off of him but the small town owner wouldn't budge so he tried to make his own rendition of chano's chicken, which obviously worked out pretty well, not sure if that is just a myth though. Although personally I think Chano's is better!

“Love the fried Chicken”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2009

The "pollos con papas" is the best!!!! This little cafeteria type of restaurant is literaly on the street but yet is on its own location. Their fried chicken is awesome. Allways fresh (made daily) and the people serving it are very friendly. I would recomend to "buy and go" they don't have a lot of seats ( it has been there for years and years ) so when it first started the place was small and it has been kept small. So by the chicken and go down the beach and have great time enjoying it !!!!!!! totally recomend it!
