We ate here on March 10th/2014 some of the best shrimp and fish I ever had, well worth the trip its a true Cuban restaurant. I brought a licence plate from home which they hung up Good food great music and beautiful sunset Its worth a stop. No one at hotel would recommend it you have to tell cabby to go to playa prohibida.

A perfect break from resort food where you can get a huge lobster tail and pleasantly flavoured fish and food. The musicians serenading you are a nice touch too.

We took a taxi down at 6:30 and when we arrived the place was in darkness. Our driver went in and asked it we could eat. It was very dark. They put up a light that hung on the post of the bar. It just shone in every bodies eyes. It is located in a very, very remote area, and with no lights, we began to wonder if we were
safe. Our driver left us after we ordered. We had the lobster plate. Huge lobster tail, lots of shrimp and a filet of snapper (yummy), rice, sole slaw, tomatoes and cucumber. Huge serving. The meal was delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine and for the 5 of us it was 83 Cuban Pesos Very surprised as to economical price.of the meal. We inquired at our hotel as to the hours and no one knew, so we just assumed it would be open for dinner. Another two young women arrived after we were there a while, guess they thought it was open as well. Well, I guess it was open if you came along????, but they have no lights.!! So we eat in this dim light from the bar area. Let's say it was an adventure. I am an adventurous type of person, but one of the group was really uneasy with the situation. My advice is go in the daylight hours and enjoy the food.
