Dear Guest,

We really thank you for having chosen our resort to spend your holidays and we appreciate that you have taken part of your precious time to write a review about your experience with us.
We see like others you coincided with a few days stay where there was a big group from the national market in the hotel. We will not go over each and every point you state, but we did see that some of them did not respect some rules and were drinking too much. We apologize for the inconveniences and have taken the necessary measures to avoid things like this to happen again.
Once again, we thank you for your considerations and are looking forward to seeing you sometime in the near future to share and enjoy with the Iberostar Mojito’s team. We will not spare efforts to make your next visit always better than your previous one.

We vacationed at this resort for two weeks mid-May, about a month later than we normally do.

Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and we were pleased to find that the room we requested was available. Very quickly, our luggage was delivered to our room while we re-acquainted ourselves with the staff on duty.

Our room was comfortable, with a delightful view of the ocean.

The tide seemed to be out during the day more than usual, so the beach, for the most part was spacious and not at all crowded, and procuring shade was no problem at all.

The food was excellent, in the buffet and in the a la carte restaurants, as well as at the grill. On any day, any meal, it was easy to find tasty food of some kind.

We did have a few anxious moments related to something that appeared to be missing from our room. After going through the room thoroughly, we reported our loss, and within an hour had Security, Customer Relations, Duty Manager, Assistant General Manager, and the General Director of the resort in our room to assist us. They were able to solve our problem – yes, if you have a little ring box with a magnetic closer, it can stick to the top of the safe inside. We found their concern and response most impressive.

As many people have written in their reviews, what really makes this resort special is the people who work here. We keep returning because of them – the beach guys, the gardeners, cleaners, animacion team, the management team, and of course the waiters and bartenders.

Our first time in Cuba and we chose the Iberostar Mojito. We had a great time and plan to return with our kids next year. The staff is wonderful, from Alfredo in the gym, Irein and Jiammy the great servers, Aisel at the grill along with the amazing chefs! We had a great time with the entertainment staff, especially Jamila, what a lovely and classy lady. Best times with Freddy and the boys at the lobby bar... Love those cappuccinos and the fantastic mojitos. Our room was perfect, block 22 nice and quiet, lovely balcony and cleaned to perfection everyday. Food was great and the manager was running around helping out everywhere and making sure everyone was taken care of. Don't forget the gardening staff, they work so hard to make the grounds beaautiful and are always there with a smile and are excellent craftsmen! Miss you already Cuba!

We have realized that you interacted with our workers very much since you learnt many of their names by heart. Well, to tell you the truth, our workers are our greatest asset. Everything is good. Don' t forget to visit the craftsmanship Market near this hotel. You can find there a great variety of fines hand made leather articles and souvenirs for your friends and family.
Food and services are very good. The garden is amazing. The beach is the best in Cuba.

First I have been to other Iberostar hotels in Cuba and other Caribbean country and know their standard and services. We are a family of 4 with two children and stayed at Iberostar Mojito from July 27 to August 10 and knew right away this hotel was not right us. We request the hotel change to Westjet rep, Lino which he was reluctant to do anything until I repeat my request few times. He informed that there is two hotel near by Melia Cayo Coco and Sol Cayo Coco. Melia Cayo Coco was adults only so it leave us with one option Sol Cayo Coco which my wife and I took time to walk over to take a tour. This hotel was better which I inform Westjet rep we would like to move and he would get back to us with the price and availability. Couple of days later, He tells me that he has not got replay from Westjet head office. I asked him if he can call Westjet head office. He tells me he is not allowed to call them. I knew then that he had no intention to move us to other hotel and was just buying time. Few days later he had a hotel customer service left a note in our room that Sol Cayo Coco is full and we can not move. I was upset and went to see him on Saturday, and conveniently he is now on vacation and I had to explain my situation again to another Westjet rep, Ivan which I got same reply that he can to move us and can not help us because Sol Cayo Coco was full. I found out when we came back home that there was other hotels, Melis Cayo Guillermo, Sol Cayo Guillermo and Iberostar Daiguiri about half hour away that they could have look into but never mention to us. I will be writing directly to Westjet regarding their rep. down in Cuba, Lino and Ivan for their lack of customer service and total disregard for my request to change the hotel.

Ok, back to hotel review, this hotel was recently purchase by Iberostar and under some renovation. One of a` la carte restaurant was close. One that was open was in the middle of Lagoon and had no AC. We could not enjoy the meal due to the flies and mosquitos coming in from the open window.

For Buffet- basically they are same food every day and left over food reheated and put out next day. During our two week stay, they had one Mexican theme night. The buffet and a la carte restaurant was biggest disappointment for us.

They have one snack restaurant by the pool and have good pizza and hamburger but on our second week of our stay there were a lot of local Cuban came into the hotel and few people were ordering multiple disks( like 6 to 10 at once) . You would end up waiting over half hour for your order. Same story at Buffet time, my 10 year old son when to get some ice cream and he did not return to the table after 15 min so I went to look for him and he was in long line for the ice cream. People were getting two to four ice cream cups and cones. It took my son over 20 min to get one cone of ice cream. I can understand it is very expansive for local Cuban to stay the hotel for few days but they should have some common courtesy for other people. This is all inclusive buffet, you can always go back for more later. To avoid this we went to the dinner early but same story, they would take a certain food from the tray and pile them up on their table and nothing left for next person. This was where hotel management should step and set limit where how many dish can one person can order each time as they can always go back and order more.

For Bar- lobby bar- they make great cappuccino and espresso but they did not have champagne which my wife like to drink and Fanta( orange pop) which our kids favorite drink. We had to complaint few time before they finally have champagne but never had Fanta available during out stay. When we brought these issues to the hotel customer service, just told me to get Fanta from the hotel gift shop. I thought we were in all inclusive hotel.
Pool Bar-excellent service but can get very crowned after 1pm. Beach bar-there is no blender so no ice mix drink and no snack food available by the beach. You need to walk back to the restaurant by the pool which can be long 5 min walk on the sunny day.

Only good thing about this hotel is staffs- most staffs are very friendly and hard working people and make our two week stay little bit enjoyable. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone else thourgh. This hotel can be good once all the renovation are complete and next hotel, Iberostar Cayo Coco open up but should think twice before going to this place. One more thing to the management, you have a lot good employees and should listen to them as they have a few good ideas to make the hotel better.

Dear Guest,
We really thank you for having chosen our resort to spend your holidays and we appreciate that you have taken part of your precious time to write a review about your experience with us.
It is true that we are still doing renovations so that we can raise our standards and we apologize for the inconveniences you may have experienced.
There are a few things we would like to say though. The restaurant where we served the International we were forced to close it since its design is with open windows and in this rainy season it got flooded. Anyways both restaurants are designed to let fresh air in through the windows. The buffet, however, has air con.
At the buffet, we do have different kinds of nights. We have also Cuban and Mediterranean. There is a pasta bar with a variety of dressing cooked at the moment as well as a live grill section. We do not save food from one day to the other, we are not allowed too.
We have been following and regulating all the food issues regarding as how many portions people ask for or take. It happens, sometimes that people travel in groups and only one of them orders for the group which would be faster than if all the members of the group order individually. We have banned to take food out of the buffet as well.
We apologize for the inconvenience of the lack of any drink, that if we did not offer, it was because we had not it available in our stock.
Once again, we thank you for your considerations and are looking forward to seeing you sometime in the near future to share and enjoy with the Iberostar Mojito’s team. We will not spare efforts to make your next visit always better than your previous one.

This was my 4th time here, 2 times as elSenador and 1 time as NH Krystal. Iberostar was still under construction but I was there with my son and we had a nice time. The food was good but would of liked that more restaurants to be available. I did have one incident with the lunch restaurant and I complained and immediately was taken care of by the manager. There is a Director Manager available there at all times and is very kind with the visitors and seems to be approachable if any issues. I always felt safe here and will keep going... There was nightly entertainment and a disco for any dancing needs. I recommend this hotel for families or just alone. I have never felt threatened there in any way as a woman. Hopefully next year we can see the other side of the hotel available also!

We are glad to hear you have been here before and that you still have the intention to keep on coming back. Yes, we are repairing here and there and updating all the facilities as much as we can. We are also working on the Iberostar Cayo Coco (the other side) to have it ready as soon as possible.

The fortunate part of the resort was that it was clean and our room was great. We had a room in one of the 4 plex units so outside of the metal tapping bird at 7am daily it was nice. The food was no more than typical Cuban food however compared to other place we have been the buffet was limited in selection. No the really bad part.........crossing the swamp to get to the ocean !! I really hated this set up and the beach is where I wanted to spend a lot of time, clean once we got there but go to the washroom before you leave the resort. Any day trips were far and a long bus ride but oh well, the trip was a good day spent off the resort, we tried it.
P.S HATS off to the Little Lobster Stand on the beach, meal and wine was awesome.

Room Tip: Upstairs in one of the 4 plex units

We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your vacation, as our best desire was that you felt like home. Our buffet has a lot variety but maybe not what you like, sometimes is very difficult to please everyone. Also, we don’t have a swamp, what we have at the resort is a natural lagoon to cross, to go to the beach.
Anyways, we would like you to considerate your opinion about the hotel for future trips we are hope to see you soon.
