My husband is Cuban and we have a house in Moron that we stay at while in Cuba, but for a mini getaway while we are on vaca we stayed here. This is our second time here, i was impressed again!! Service is outstanding, and the lady running the kids club, just wonderful!! I wish i could remember her name. Our son is half Cuban and speaks spanish, but normally will not go where he does'nt know someone. She involved him and he ended up on stage during one of the shows, and was so proud! I have been all over Cuba and being a server myself I really appreciate
being served and understand what its like to serve the public. Seeing what the staff had to sometimes deal with, very rude and demanding people, i applaud the staff. You must understand this is Cuba, and still have limited resources, but Cuba is so much more than just the all inclusive hotels. Take time to look at the beautiful culture, the beautiful people, beaches, and the lost art of just relaxing, hearing the ocean and the beauty of the untouched, unamericanized beauty of Cuba! Iberostar Mojito captures that alittle for me. Gracias Mojito!! Job well done, you represent your country well!

This hotel is amazing, the staffs were very friendly except for few which I will mention in a sec. The food was delicious from what I understood the head chef is from Argentina and the pastry chef from Mexico. Entertainment was very good! The Customer Service and staff were the best!! Very helpful except for the lady with black hair at bar in the lobby. Every time I went to the bar to get a drink she looked at me as if she was saying what you want again. The staffs at the Restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly again except for one of the waitress whose name I don’t remember but she dyed her hair blond. She is less then helpful and friendly. When you enter the restaurant you’ll see that it is divided in two section right and left and she always works on the left side. She doesn’t check on you as often as she needs too, if you need water or something else you have to leave your table and chase her in order to get it. There is this very nice gardener by the name Raul, he always would chat you with his cute broken English and offer you fresh Coconut for free. The restaurant manager was more than nice and helpful, I loved his positive attitude his picture is on TripAdvisor posing in yellow jacket with one the lady guest in the lobby. There was this entertainment lady who was kind of cocky at times. But I guess all these tiny negative experiences can happen anywhere you go. All in all I had a positive experience and would recommend it to anyone. I would go back again.
P.S. We had nice BAR at the beach. Never felt obligated to. Service was A1. If we tipped or not. But I always tipped how could you not when the service is so nice.

Room Tip: Try to see if you could buy Convertable Peso here in Canada before you go there. The exchange rate i...

This is our first time to go to the Caribbean for vacation and it was wonderful. The staff was very very very friendly, hospitable and respectful, they were very generous and honest. We lost a valuable item in the pool bar and the next day the bar people saved it for us so we can get it back we also left our belongings on the pool and they were there when we came back. The food was clean and delicious, they had a great variety, suitable for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegetarians that eat fish and vegan people that do not eat any animal products. The rooms were clean and simple but really large in size to fit up to four people comfortably per room, the kid's club was fun and the entertainment itself was awesome and was so much fun (really fun for people who love dancing).
The swimming pool was very large and clean and the water was really nice and warm, the deepest pool there was about 1.40 m deep and the ocean was majestic and beautiful, an un comparable beach to go to. The ocean waves were very nice and fun to run into and the water was clean and shallow and the sand was very fine and smooth and there were barely any rocks or pebbles in the sand that would hurt you. There were some coloured fish in further in the ocean and they were really nice and pretty.
The resort held trip to different places daily such a catamaran boat and a jeep safari, all of these trips were fun and visited lots of exotic places that you would not find anywhere in the world like visiting the city of Moron or visiting the crocodile farms also swimming with the dolphins was very much fun and they were really intelligent and well trained. Souvenirs are at a decent price and there was a market near by where you can purchase a ton of different things but the nice thing was that you can bargain with the people.
The only thing to notice about this resort is that some souvenirs like cigars and alcohol are cheaper to buy at the airport. Also, in all of Cuba, internet is expensive and there is no Wi-Fi so for business people it is not as suitable but it is great for relaxing and wonderful vacation for families with children.
I would totally recommend that resort for vacation for families with children and couples and I am defiantly going back there next year and hopefully will have my honeymoon there one day.

Take off from Toronto was on time flyed with Canjet (air transat). Landed in the Bahamas. Yes, the Bahamas. Circled Cayo coco a few times. Weather was bad couldnt land so directed to Bahamas. Sat in the plane on the tarmack for a few hours. Finally arrived at the hotel 4hrs later than expected.
Check in was fast no hiccups. Helped to our room didnt have a tip to give him. We apologized he smiled said no problem. Dropped our luggage off in the room. Down to the front desk to change money. Too the bar for a drink and bite to eat.
Tipping
Never felt obligated to. Service was A1. If we tipped or not.
Room
2029 in the 20 block. We stayed from June 28- July 5.
Room was cleaned spotless everyday. Bottled water in fridge. The maids did a fantastic job.
Beach
Beautiful, tide comes in and out. Depending were u sit depends how much beach is in front of you. The gentlemen who fetches the chairs very nice guy. The bartenders at the beach did a great job. As well as the activitiy staff Who ran the games on the beach. Never a problem finding shade. It was low season so not busy at all. By far the beach of all the resorts.
Food
We were very nervous of the food. DO NOT WORRY the food is great. Yes i said it. Pasta bar with everything you could want in your sauce. Made in front of you. (why there is a line up). Also 2 grilling stations were the chefs cook fresh fish, shrimp and chicken, hamburgers hotdogs. (why there is a line up). If you didnt want to stand in line there is a buffet type set up beside the grills that had plenty of choices also. Salad and cold cut bar Fresh fruit bar and veggies and desert bar. Breakfeast your choice also of grilled to order eggs french toast and pancakes etc. (why there is a line up). But also the buffet bar was available also. As well as your fruits veggies deserts also. Jiemny as previously posted. Great job!!
Entertainment
Plenty of it thru out the day. For the young and old. Kids had a blast as well as the adults. Hats off to Allie and Adrien. Unbelievable job by these two. Iberostar do not let these people ever leave.
Bar and service
Great drinks the staff is outstanding Alexs hard work around the pool never went unnoticed and was appreciated by all. Paulo the life guard hard working and friendly. We did not encounter any mosquito issue. Did the Catamaran trip 2 snorkel stops and Pilar Beach. Lobster and Shrimp lunch. Good time worth the money.
Cant Wait To See All Our Friends next year. This time with the whole family. 3 daughters ages 15, 13, 12. No worries about food or safety. No need to worry about anything. My wife and i live and die with trip advisor. We have stayed in Riu palace in Los Cobos, Sandals in Antigua. Been to Cancun, Mayan Riviera, Jaimaca. This is the first time we have wanted to write something. Those other places were great. But the Mojito resort and service were Outstanding.

English will follow

Context : family holidays, 5 children 6 to 15 years old. We went several times in Cuba and in Dominican Republic. This was the best holidays in the South.
Very nice hotel close to the airport. Rooms are great with everything needed and room service, in particular Niolis, was better than expected : bottle of water when needed, everything clean and climatisation working. We were in the 14th block close to disco and lobby and though we slept very well.
The beach is beautifull, some fishes, crabs, starfishs for children to enjoy.
The buffet is very good (not only for Cuba but in general), lot of variety and cooks are so nice (Manuel, Aisel...). Fresh fish and meat, lots of vegetables (eggplants, brussels sprout, tomatoes...) and fresh fruits. Service was also very pleasant with people like Jessica or Giamnis.
Even though like everywhere in the South tips are welcome ;-), none of them seemed to wait after it to be helpfull and nice. The two restaurants (Gourmet and International) are to be recommended as the menus were very very good.
The animation team worked very hard as the hotel was not full but they did a wonderfull job, during the day on the beach or at the pool and in the evening where a show took place each day. With people such as Yamila, Daya, Adrian and Leo, pleasure is always there.
Thanks a lot everybody for this week.

This was the first time my two children went to the Caribbean and no doubt they will compare all future experiences to this one. We all had a fabulous time. Starting with the great customer service I received for weeks before even arriving at the resort (thank you so much Ariel for your patience with all my questions) to the easy arrival. We seemed to be crossing the threshold of our rooms an hour after landing in the Cayo Coco airport which is 15 minutes away.

The rooms are huge thanks to an "indoor balcony" at the end of the 2nd and 3rd floors, which were kept clean and functional by our beautiful Tamara (gracias bella). We had a great view of the ocean across the lagoon and the beautiful wide beach was easily accessible on the boardwalks leading to them.

The tide was high in the mornings at this time of the year so there was not much beach early in the day but it was fun to sit under the huts and still be able to put your feet in the water at the end of the beach chair for the first couple of hours. Once the tide was out the beach was clean and just gorgeous.

The meals were varied and delicious and made so special by Juan Carlos and Eilen at the a la carte restaurant and by our good friend Jiamney at the buffet, who was such a sweetheart (Hola Jiamney!).

The grounds of this hotel are impeccable thanks to the wonderful gardeners who work so hard but still take the time to make us pretty hats from the palm leaves for only 2 pesos that most of the children wore all week. In particular it was so nice to chat with our friend Oswaldo who was so kind to us.

The entertainment team gave amazing shows every night (Chicago was our favorite as well, they did an amazing job of that) and kept us laughing and well entertained with their constant smiles and boundless energy.

Saving the best for last, we especially enjoyed the company of who we now consider our good friend, Adrian. What a special man. He can be found by the pool playing games first thing in the morning keeping everyone laughing and included, teaching us all about Cuba during the special lunches we spent together, playing ball hockey in the afternoon (an activity reminiscent of the days when the hotel was owned by the Canadiens, a huge hit with my 15 year old and many others), entertaining us with a wild game of Bingo with his great side kick Mandy Coca Cola in the evenings, and then again in the nightly excellent shows. He then keeps going at the disco until 2:00 am to get a few hours’ sleep before starting all over again the next day. His charm, energy and smiles are endless and he was a hit with all of us. I would recommend this hotel if only to get a chance to hang out with Adrian for a week. Note to Iberostar - clone this man, he is fabulous!

Our stay at the Iberostar Mojito will give us fond memories to look back on forever. It was our privilege and our pleasure. I don't know why people comment on the bugs - there were not many when we were there but you certainly cannot blame the hotel for them anyway, they cannot control bug season, and they sprayed every night and did their best to make us comfortable. Cayo Coco is a beautiful and peaceful place, with charming people and not like the more touristy Varadero. It is the perfect place for rest and rejuvination if that is what you are looking for.

In addition to our great time at the Mojito, we went swimming with the dolphins in Cayo Guillermo and then to Pilar Beach. HIGHLY recommend. We had a blast. My daughter and I also spend an afternoon at a nearby spa which was amazing.

We also met some lovely people who were also on vacation, especially Jessica and Jack and their parents from Toronto. Hola guys!

The Cuban people work so hard but they never pass by you without a smile and a Hola! We miss you all and hope to be back again sometime soon. Hasta la vista!

Room Tip: We were lucky enough to have the top floor of building 19. Fabulous view and very close to everythi...

Spent a week in Cayo Coco at the Mojitio Resort. I would give it a sold 3 but certainly no more. It was girls trip away for fun and beach time. Needless to say when we arrived one morning for a day of tanning at the beach....there was none. The tide had come up to the bottom step and there was no sand to be found. Not impressed!!!
The food was the same at every meal. Saying that I must tell everyone that there was always something to eat at all 3 meals.
Our room had a leaky roof one night and when we returned to our room another evening after the show it will full of flying bugs. Its a good thing we have a good sense of humor!!!. Staff were very efficient in taking care of these matters once they were aware of the situation.
Staff were mostly friendly and the grounds were clean and well maintained.
We had a great time despite some issues...I am a firm believer of always enjoying myself on vacation....which we all did. In saying this I will return back to Varadero for my next Cuban vacation.

Dear Guest,

We really thank you for having chosen our resort to spend your holidays and we appreciate that you have taken part of your precious time to write a review about your experience with us.
Well, we see you did not enjoy your holidays as much as you would have liked, as for what you write you had an issue with the tide, which of course, we cannot control and this is not something which happens that often or at all times. The leaking in the air conditioning pipe is something which may occur and as for your own words, staff acted efficiently. We agree with you we still have to work to keep on improving variety in food menus despite we have changed it a great deal since we started a few months ago. You refer to some issues but do not mention them.
We do appreciate your nice words for the staff and know that as times passes by we will keep on improving our service.
