“Definately would not come back!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

We booked this trip through Thomas Cook @ 25 Pasos each. This included transport and an all inclusive bar.

The bus was half hour late picking us up. The journey there was eventful.. I actually thought I was going to die! The driver was going so fast, the coach even made air at one point!! During the journey we were told that our bus had broken down, so we would have to wait until all the other hotels had been dropped off before we would get picked up. Not impressed.

The cave itself is very impressive, however the service at the bar was not! We didnt take any money because we had already paid for the drinks, however unless you had tipping money, you did not get served. We waited half an hour before somebody kindly gave us a paso just so we could get a drink!!

We were also told there would be people there to teach you cuban dancing.. there wasn't. There was a cuban band though who were very good.

When the buses came to pick us up, the bus going to Sol Cayo Coco (next to the Melia where we were staying) was half empty. When we first asked if we could go on this bus we were told we would have to wait until it had dropped them off and came back. After a bit of a discussion we were eventually allowed on this bus.

The highlight of the trip was the Cuban man on the way home telling everybody to be quiet so he could sing his Cuban songs, which he did! He was very entertaining.

If everything had gone to plan, IE buses and being served quickly I think this trip would have been very good, however our experience was pretty crap!

“Amazing Cuban dancing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

A MUST SEE!! This is a cave disco but also features traditional Cuban dancing and music. The dancers are just insanely talented, I did not know the human body could move like they moved. There was also fire dancing and knife tricks and at the end of the Cubans dancing, they got all of the tourists to join in and dance with them. After the dance show, there is a DJ playing a variety of international music to continue dancing into the night. The price we paid to see this was pretty fair (25 CUC each) considering how much we enjoyed it. Dress lightly as it is HOT and humid in this cave. There is also a bar although there isn't as much selection as the resorts. Recommended!!

“loads of fun and very busy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2010

I found the night to the cave disco a lot of fun but very pricey. The amount we paid for this trip was way above what I have spent in other discos in Cuba. It was very busy, and the waits for the restrooms were long (and smelly). It was pricey enough that most Cubans could never afford to go so it was full of tourists. The music was good, with both a band and a DJ. It would be a better deal at a lower price but still fun for a change!
The cave is huge and worth seeing for sure.
