Excellent cheeseburgers! Excellent Pain Killers! Excellent ring toss! Captain your vessel right in front. You can even pre- buy drinks for your friends who are sailing in at a later drink.

The Soggy Dollar is an instituition. There are a couple basic rooms for overnight rental too. Ferry service to Road Town on the Whatever was predicatble (on time) from those who spoke with!

Always a good time!

“Yo-Ho-Ho!”

Ah the infamous Soggy Dollar...The setting is spectacular - White Bay is one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean, and the Soggy Dollar sits right on it. The atmosphere is what one would expect for a place famous for sailors and daytrippers swimming ashore to partake of a few Painkillers and forget about their lives in the states for a few hours - a little rowdy and a little raucous but all in good fun. If you are on a day cruise, try to be the first one to the bar or you will probably have to stand 3-4 deep in line - small bar, 2 tenders. If that happens, no worries - One Love Bar & Grill is right down the beach serving the same drinks, no lines, though I gotta say I think the SD kicks up the rum a wee bit more. As for the food, who knows - didn't see anyone eating while we were there. Oh, and should go w/out saying but don't forget to secure your $ for the swim in - lost my bank card in the turquiose water!

“Not much to say.....simply a slice of paradise”
Reviewed November 10, 2009

Bareboated in the BVI's last June. Our plan was to make White Bay our first stop but the wind wasn't with us that week so spent the final two days of our vacation anchored in White Bay and guzzeling PainKillers at the Soggy Dollar. The "fish and chips" are the best I've had.....even the kids ate them...just really lite and fluffy....didn't even touch the "chips". All things considered, this place is the best place in the islands unless you like paying $25.00 for a chicken salad sandwich and beer at the Bitter End ! Going back in June 2010 and we've got two stops on the itinerary....Anegada and the Soggy Dollar !!

“The best beach bar we have ever patronized..”
Reviewed October 14, 2009

We were staying on St. John in a villa rental and decided to take a day trip to Jost Van Dyke in the BVI. I highly recommend doing this as the whole island is a blast. We first had lunch at Foxy's and then had our captain take us around the Bay to the Soggy Dollar. I had been told by a few different friends this is a must do. My husband did lose his wallet on the swim in, but all credit cards and cash were found thanks to the clear waters and helpful fellow patrons.

The painkillers, the ringo game, and the great helpful folk that run the clothing hut at the Soggy were all fantastic and made our day. Afterwards, we took the kids tubing on the outskirts of the bay and had a great time.

We have been all over the Caribbean and truly feel this was the best beach bar party scene, as well as family friendly place we have been. We are planning a return trip next year!

Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke is the best place to getaway and drink a painkiller. This is the best beach in the Caribbean with beautiful sugary white sand and the most beautiful waters you can imagine.
