What a great find. It was our sixth trip to Jost and the second time staying on island, but the first (and second) time we ate at Corsairs.

We had read about it here on TA and were hungry for pizza the second night on island. What a great choice. G was great, Rogers food was great and we hung out with Vinny for the rest of the night at the bar. What a blast. So good and fun that we came back two night later and did the same thing.

We had Ceviche-Excellent, Stuffed Mushrooms-Excellent, Caesar salad that my wife said, both times, was the best she has ever had in her life, also had pizza both night-Excellent!

We had walked by the place several different time during the day on various trips and it always looked closed. Find the hours they are open and go!!! You will be glad you did.

Vinny, G, and Roger we'll see you again next year!

When people come to JVD, they often stop at Foxy's because it is so well known. But if you walk a minute down the beach, you will find the hidden gem of Corsairs. With the bigger than life character of Vinny, the owner, to the eclectic pirate/biker theme. You would never guess how unbelievable the food is. I could eat just the pizza everyday but then I couldn't try the conch fritters or seafood dishes.

Just returned from a catamaran trip to the BVI's and while on the adventure our Captain Alan Roberts made a mooring stop at Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke and we had drinks and dinner at Corsairs. I must say that I was surprised on how good the LOBSTER was and we had a great night! G was our waitress and the owner Vinny was a hoot! Vinny saved me a near 3pd Monster Lobster and it was so sweet and juicy....obviously right out of the water that morning to my plate that night! Overall..a fun, relaxing place...drinks were strong and conversation was interesting *not to mention all the writing on the walls of the many pirates that passed through over the years... a must stop on anyone's next trip!!

The best way to appreciate Corsairs is to try all the other bars/restaurants on the island. The food is amazing and they strive for it to be amazing. However the best thing about Corsairs is that they are happy to see you. It sounds like a simple thing but most places on JVD don't seem to care if you're there or not. Vinny is the ONLY restaurant owner on the island that actually checks on you during dinner to make sure that everything is good. G is the best server, host, manager, on the island, bar none!! Roger is a machine in the kitchen! He does not know how to make a bad meal. Corsairs is the best place to hangout on the island. Don't be fooled by the big name bars. They are living off their OLD reputations. The bottom line is "Corsairs actually gives a damn!"

We recently spent a week on JVD and stopped by for dinner during our first night on the island. We ended up going back every night! The food was fabulous - we highly recommend the seafood delight (big enough for 2), shrimp cioppino and seafood bisque - and the staff was awesome. Vinny, G and Roger - we can't wait to come back and visit next year!
