Had a lobster dinner which was not a patch on Abe's (the restaurant across the bay). We had a look at the T shirt shop which is attached and they were keen to secure our reservation. On arriving for dinner the whole service was 'couldn't care less' . wouldn't return they difinately are living off a presumably good previous recommendation as it appears to be 'the place to visit' for yachties. Go to Abes instead!

We recently stayed on St. John and took a much awaited day trip to Jost Van Dyke for the day with Captain Cleve from the boat Local Flavor. After a morning stop at the Baths in Virgin Gorda, we motored over to Jost and had lunch at Sidney’s Peace and Love. It is a dockside, open-air restaurant catering mainly to boaters, yachties, and day trippers. There are several outdoor tables scattered around the dock area, and a nice air-conditioned dining room where you can enjoy your meal in comfort. After tying up, we promptly went to the honor bar to mix ourselves a couple of painkillers. Just have your captain start a tab, and begin your drink tally. Place your order, and then go outside and chill! Sidney’s is known for its lobster, and it didn’t disappoint. We had the lobster sandwich, which is the Caribbean equivalent of the famous Maine lobster roll. It was fantastic; with a generous portion of fresh lobster straight from the tank (we witnessed it with our own eyes). We also had an order of conch fritters which were very tasty. A bonus at Sidney’s is that they take care of your captain! We loved the ultra laid-back atmosphere, friendly locals (get to know Strawberry she’s a sweetheart), and super-fresh generous portions of lobster. Oh, and don’t forget to leave an article of clothing before sailing off into the sunset. Peace and Love :)
