You will dream about the mussels after you taste them. A huge serving of mussels cloaked in a creamy pesto sauce layered with a silky balsamic reduction. I had to order an extra piece of their sturdy bread so I didn`t waste a drop of sauce, and I don`t even eat bread normally. We had the mussels, the lobster stuffed mushrooms and the spinach salad, all appetizers, shared by two for lunch. The mushrooms were rich and subtle. The salad was a fresh and clean combination of spinach, mushrooms, strawberries,, garnished with blue cheese.and walnuts, lightly drizzled with a creamy dressing and split into two tidy portions for us in the kitchen. We were utterly amazed and satisfied for around $30. My only complaint was the slightly brackish water, but a crisp white wine would have been perfect., had we not been hiking after.
It was the best meal of our trip. There would be line-ups around the block if this restaurant opened in Vancouver..
