Despite the number of visitors to Gros Morne national park there is little to choose from in the way of appealing places to dine but Justin Thyme is one such. Indeed, any trip to Gros Morne would be incomplete without visiting Norris Point and trying their signature scallops or, for that matter, a trawl through the rest of their rotating blackboard menu. The tool-shed décor works well enough in this quirky outport community and the service is personable and efficient. In fact, if it’s not a busy time, you are likely to be treated to a chat with the chef. The wine selection is abbreviated although interesting and adequate to the task. It’s just one of those restaurants that’s easy to fall in like with – as we did.
