We had spent the day on a great boat tour of Bonne Bay, walked on the earth's mantle at The Tablelands, and were looking for a nice way to wind-down from a wonderful day of exploring Gros Morne National Park, and there it was, The Black Spruce Restaurant . We were brought up to the restaurant, which had beautiful views of the water and forest, and lovely art all around the walls. It was quiet and serene. And the dinner was great -- from the appetizers of little fish cakes, to the home-made bread, to the main meal. All-in-all, a most enjoyable experience. I guess the only disappointment was that the coffee was neither hot, nor particularly good. The up-side of which was, we didn't have a second cup, so it didn't interfere with our night's sleep.
