Very fresh fish presented in a traditional way. Nice view in a very pretty little town. Do visit Trout River when you are in Gros Morne

Overrated and over priced, the publicity they use must be dated from a long time ago, not worth the detour. Better go to the Valleyview restaurant in a convenience place. The best fish and " tatters" potatoes and the freshest cod you can find with very funny and friendly ladies. And to finish stay at the Sheppards B&B, beautiful view , very accommodating and pleasant hosts.
Do not miss Trout River, beautiful ocean village, incredible surroundings, absolutely stunning landscape.

We had dinner here after it was recommended to us by some locals in Woody Point. We were treated to gorgeous views of the sun setting across the water while we ate. There was a man playing the accordion throughout dinner as well. I had poached salmon and my husband had sauteed shrimp. We both enjoyed our meals - simple but tasty! I have a severe gluten-allergy, but they were able to work around it quite well. Overall, the service was friendly and accommodating, the food was simple but tasty, and the views were outstanding!

we drove slowly in the narrow almost unseen roads of trout river when accidently we saw the sign of seaside restaurants and entered without expecting much, but we were surprised. this is an excellent restaurant in all respects. the view from the windows is beautiful, the service was superb and the food magnificent. my wife had a cod and praised it and i had a tasty roast beef (i do not at fish). the dishes were generous and the deserts were very very good. it was a great experience in new foundland and we highly recommend seaside restaurant.

While returning to our campsite after a long afternoon/evening of hiking friends and I stopped into Trout River praying to find something to eat. It was late, but we were warmly received at the Seaside, where things were winding down. We caught the end of the live entertainment, had some good food, and Iceberg beers. The food and decor were fairly average, but the view and service made our night.
