We recently had a very enjoyable stay at the Gros Morne Cabins .
The cabins are very clean, well-equiped and all but 1-2 are right on the water with a great view of the light house and Rocky Harbour. The staff were very friendly.

There is a general store and laundromat on the property as well as a seafood market very close by. Though not located in downtown Rocky Harbour, the cabins are only a 10- minute walk from there.

We just returned from our visit to Gros Morne. We loved the park and stayed at a house owned by Gros Morne cabins in town for 2 nights. The rental house was nice with 3 bedrooms and very clean. Unfortunately there was a horrible (cat???) overbearing smell in the living areas of the home making it difficult to sit in the living room and eat in the dining area. We complained about the smell and the staff was very apologetic and brought over some ineffective air freshner but that was it. No discount we were told. Had our stay been longer than 2 nights I would have looked for lodging elsewhere. They would not admit there were cats in the home but did apologize. I would stay in the cabins on the property next time. The hiking in the park is fabulous and everything is very close to Rock Harbor. A great place for a family vacation.

We stayed here for four nights as part of our Newfoundland trip. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Not only were the accomadations great the view of the bay and Gros Morne were awesome. The BBQ's were an added touch and we had some delicious sea food as the fish plant was a short walk away. We wanted for nothing. The bed was comfortable and the added bonus of having the sheets wind blown dried on the line as well as a hand made quilt to keep you warm was delightful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and would have no trouble recommending it to friends and family.

We loved our 5-day stay at the Gros Morne Cabins. Our cabin was clean, our bed was very comfortable. I loved the home-made quilts. We had everything we needed in the kitchen.
This was our first trip to Newfoundland. We went hiking every day while we were there. We had "homemade" pizza and partridgeberry pie and delicious bread at Earle's restaurant across the road.
I would recommend these cabins for anyone wanting to stay in Gros Morne park for a few days.

At $139 a night plus tax ($162) this was to be the highlight of our trip. The establishment is rated 3 1/2 stars by Canada Select.
What they don't tell you is that the photos, while not touched up do not show that the cabins are surrounded on 3 of 4 sides by asphalt. The cabins are cute and clean. The beds however are of such poor quality that we had to throw the mattress on the floor in order to get a decent nights sleep. When I pay so much money, I expect nice fluffy towels, not stuff which I can see through. The upholstered furniture was likely purchased at a garage sale. The couch was worn and dirty and from the early 1970's. The chair, not matching looked like something from an office surplus warehouse and was also worn out. When I told the owner that at I expected at that price not to sit on something in which the springs stick into my butt he shrugged. We were very disappointed and felt ripped off. I would not recommend this unless you can't find anything else. The location is good, and near a great fresh fish market where they will boil your lobster for you. I definitely recommend the little town.
