We just loved this place so we came back for an early anniversary night. It was so special in that they had a "welcome back" note on the bead for us and the breakfast menu had "happy anniversary" on it. Sandra and Paul are wonderfully special people!

Nice B & B with wonderfully accommodating owners. The food for breakfast and dinners is outstanding! Place is right on main road, so could hear some traffic all night, but not enough to disrupt sleep too much. Rooms are decorated in typical B & B style, however, almost too much - a lot of decor, books, somewhat cluttered, but very clean and good amenities - shampoo, soft towels, clean sheets, refrig, snacks, coffee, dvd library, etc. My one complaint - my room onsecond floor had a moth ball smell, maybe from bedding. Overall, a very nice place to stay and I would stay again when traveling to the Acccomac area.

That these issues arose during this guest’s stay is regrettable, and we offer our most sincere apologies. We invite all guests to point out any concerns when first noticed and we will do what we can straight away to correct them so that their stay is not distracted.

It is our standard practice to wash our linens in scented detergent with fabric softener, and then iron them using Niagra crisp finish. As such, it is surprising that our guest felt our linens were stored in moth balls. A magazine rack and books on a coffee table in each suite include Eastern Shore literature as well as items of current general interest requested by guests and provided for their convenience.

We thank this guest for noting the positives as well as her concerns. It is our continuing goal to remove the negatives from any guest’s experience. Please mention this when you reserve your return visit and we will tailor your room as you request. Thank you again for staying with us, and we look forward to serving you in the near future.

We stayed in the 'green' room and it was very comfortable, plenty warm on a rainy, cold December weekend! Amazing choice of books, magazine and DVD to relax with. Afternoon wine, cheese and crackers and the most amazing dinners and breakfasts. The food is so creative, yet normal and yummy!

Over the years, my wife and I have stayed in a number of B&Bs In many countries. In NOV 2010, We had the pleasure of staying at The Garden Inn & Cafe, Onancock, VA, and our experience there was as fine as we've had anywhere. The owners, Paul and Sandra Fox, could not have been more cordial and accommodating. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, and all the amenities we could hope for were provided.
The restaurant was beautifully laid out in a sun room type setting. Several friends joined us for dinner and each of us was extremely pleased with the quality, quantity and presentation of our excellent meals. The next morning's breakfast was truly an epicurean delight.
Additionally, if value for the dollar is of concern, who could ask for more? We shall return to The Inn & Garden Cafe at our earliest opportunity.
Don D.

Gracious, yet unobtrusive hosts (Paul and Sandra Fox), a beautifully appointed room, and superb meals are what distinguish the Inn and Garden Cafe from other bed & breakfast inns. From Paul's opening tour of the Inn, to the complimentary sparkling cider & snacks in the room, to Sandra's hug as we departed, everything was designed to make our stay comfortable and to make us feel welcome. For a price comparable to that for a 2 1/2 star motel, we received all that plus a complimentary gourmet breakfast each day--try the Scrambled Egg Martini topped with creme fraiche and caviar or the Eggs Benedict with lump crabmeat. Our visit to Onancock was quite enjoyable, but staying at the Inn and Garden Cafe was a special treat.

There are many wonderfully detailed reviews about the Inn and Garden Cafe. What can I add that is different? We went to Onancock to celebrate our anniversary and in 18 years of marriage this anniversdary ranked number 2, (only behind a med cruise) in comfort and romance. The ammenities at the Inn were better than those on the cruise and so was the amazing breakfast (the best I have ever had.) This is a great environment for a quiet, secluded getaway with a loved one. The town of Onancock is charming. We walked the streets with our historic walking tour guide, went on a wonderful kayak tour of the harbor, visited open-to-the-public private gardens along the pennisula, found a secluded beach in a pristine nature preseve and ended the day with an icecream sunday from the parlor across the street. My teens may not have found enough action to keep them busy in a little town like Onancock, but my husband and I loved it!

The good reviews on Sandra and Paul's B&B cannot fully describe the wonderful experience we had with them! They warmly welcomed our arrival and Paul personally showed us to our room and every available amenity in it. Everything you need is there from puzzle books to shampoo to magazines to DVD's to robes & sandals for the shower to sparkling water and snacks. They do not miss a single detail! I had a complementary glass of superb Pino Grisio wine shortly after we arrived and my husband shared a glass of Paul's special bloody Mary mix. (It does need to be marketed!) We decided to stay for dinner and were not disappointed in the flavors nor the portions. Even the chef came out to check on us. Breakfast was unbelievable! Our menus even had our names on them! We were started off with a fruit salad all hand cut - including the grapes. Then it was followed with a bread, meat and cheese appetizer. We scarcely had room left for the main course - which was very generous and full of flavor. Upon checking out we were handed a travel bag with water and snacks for our trip and a hug to go along with it. Sandra and Paul certainly are wonderful and attentive hosts. They have their own unique form of hospitality!
