Stop by Onancock every year and this is the first time my wife and I have visited the Charlotte Hotel....and we will absolutely be back!

Last year we stopped by to eat dinner, where we experienced first hand the lovely decor and the quaint charm (and the dinner was excellent).

This year we decided to give it a try...only 8 - 9 rooms, we opted for the standard Queen. Excellent choice for a single night, room was perfect, bath was wonderful and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in outside of my own home.

Room was perfectly spacious for two, painted white "wideplank" floors and flat screen TV made for a nice retreat before we hit the town.

While we walked the town, and got a quick bite at another establishment, it was not without starting at the bar in "The Charlotte". Gary (Charlotte's Husband) took care of us and made sure the we had everythig we needed (cocktail wise). And it was no different when we got back to the hotel - where we finished with a bang. We even went as far as ordering the homeade ice cream (blackberry) which was out of this world.

The Charlotte was a former boarding house that Gary and Charlotte renovated 10 years ago...one of the best restaurants in town if not "the" best restaruant.....

Check it out....and the price isn't that bad either....beats a many a B&B and hotel on the shore....

Room Tip: If a couple, settle for the standard queen...excellent price and if you are like us, exploring, who...

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of this quaint little town. Room was clean, bright, and uniquely decorated. All amenities were included and the bathroom was roomy and modern. Loved the chocolates!

Gary and Charlotte have perfected the subtle elegance of Onancock with this storefront hotel that pulls you back into the days of simple pleasures and comfortable friends. The complimentary breakfast is varied and superb; the evening dining is unsurpassed!

Our stay here was unexpected but the hospitality was immediate in every sense. Be sure you take time to visit the many art galleries as well as the marina during your stay.

Three generations -- ages 3 -- 60; a wonderful experience!

I think there are only 8 rooms and each is uniquely decorated by Charlotte with unique art forms of art. You think there's a rug on the floor but it's not. You think there's tile, but it's not. And it goes on. Friendly and comfortable, they also have a first-rate restaurant on site.

Room Tip: Get one of the deluxe rooms if you're both readers. There's a little more room and the seati...

My husband and I just spent three nights at The Charlotte Hotel. The hotel is excellent. The rooms are well appointed with lots of charm and character. The bed is the best i have ever slept in.Charlotte and Gary are very gracious hosts. The meal at the restaurant was absolutely fabulous ! .The little town of Onancock is peacefull and charming. We enjoyed walking the town ,having drinks on the water at Mallards and taking drives to al the other little towns. I would highly reccommend this hotel and restaurant. Our time spent there made this trip very enjoyable.

This is a small hotel in a lovely small town.
The owners are very friendly and accomodating.
The beds are so comfortable that I told Charlotte that the bed alone was worth the price of the room.
The breakfast was great and we were disappointed that we were not smart enough to eat dinner there.
