After a fabulous week touring the island, I didn't realize how much I would enoy a cappuccino. The Crow's Nest Cafe did not disappoint! Excellent. The seafood chowder, wraps, and service were also excellent. What a great find just outside Twillingate.

Stopped again while looking for icebergs in June. Sat on the deck and enjoyed a great fish chowder. Biscuit was tiny but I think that was engineered so I wouldn't feel guilty about dessert. Chowder, brownie, two coffee and a muffin for less than $15 on a lovely sunny deck with a view! Great quality arts and crafts for sale, friendly service and homemade food.

I ordered my typical coffee drink: a Red Eye (shot of espresso in coffee) The owner didn't know what it was (and to his credit, neither did any other place outside of St. John's in Newfoundland); however, he thought it sounded like a great idea and was excited to see if other's would want to try it. The coffee was roasty, well-balanced and not too acidic or bitter. The cafe did not have a public wifi connection; only a password-protected one for the owner. This is a small place: seating for about 8 people inside and about 10 outside on the deck. The books, artwork, and appointments in the cafe were interesting, hip, and featured local themes. Overall, a hip little coffee shop in the Crow's Nest area.

Located right on the side of the road out to the lighthouse is a great little coffee shop. And I mean little! Seating for fewer than ten people but worth standing if you have to. Outside patio is great if you have good weather. Drip coffee is available but also latte and cappuccino just like you would find off island. The young couple that owns it have decorated it with local crafts in a clean uncluttered way. Food is baked onsite.
