Owner description: Iceberg Quest Ocean Tours has daily sightseeing boat tours departing from Twillingate, an outport community on the north east coast, internationally known as, "The Iceberg Capital of the World!". This is a land that is both familiar and mythical, where strangers are friends, and the unexpected is routine. There is no better place on earth to view 12,000 year old icebergs up close and personal. Every year the migrating humpback whales return to play and showcase their newly born calves. The world's closest iceberg viewing occurs during May and June, while the world's largest group of migrating whales visit our waters between June and August. Visit Canvas Cove Bistro and Twillingate Art Gallery on our premises. Two hour tours departing daily at 9:30am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm and 7:00pm with traditional and local music, snacks and full bar service. Screechins' on request. Private charters and special packages available. Experience the wonder of the rugged coastline and pristine waters as we take our guests to a place beyond their imagination. Step aboard ...Experience the WONDER...Your MEMORIES will last a LIFETIME!

The BEST Iceberg and Whale watching tour in Newfoundland! Great Staff and very knowledgeable. Iceberg was small, but the first I had ever seen. Very Cool! Got to see several whales breach the surface also...AMAZING! A must see if you are in the area during Iceberg Season.

The "tour guide" on this trip knew the sights along the coastline fairly well but was completely uninformed about the marine life we saw. The name is misleading, too, since icebergs are a real rarity once May is over. Although the guide was friendly, the commentary was minimal, and the captain didn't seem friendly at all. If you're looking for an attraction that's sure to give boat tours a bad name, this is it.

The captain was very accomodating and made sure we saw the whales at a time when few whales were left in these waters.

As a spur of the moment activity, we could not have imagined what was in store as we started on our tour. Calm waters, sun shining and beautiful Newfoundland music playing in the background, Captain Barry shared the history of Twillingate, taking us around the harbour and then out around the breathtaking coast of Twillingate Island. We had the privilege of seeing Bald Eagles, dolphins by the hundreds and learning more about the history of every rock around the coast, the first settlers, and a pile of information on whales although no whales in sight. We will see you in June 2014 for another fantastic trip to see the whales and icebergs!!!!!!!!!

My husband & I took the 4pm tour on a beautifully warm & sunny afternoon. Our tour guides were Arthur & Kelly. Upon boarding we were informed that earlier that day they had spotted some killer whales in the harbour which typically will drive off other whales such as the humpback. They also told us that it appeared the killer whales had headed out to open waters & so we weren't sure what, if anything, we'd see. After probably only about 20 mins. on the water we came across a mother & calf humpback. Shortly after that we found a pod of orcas (killer whales). The orcas, about 8 of them, put on an incredible show. Even our tour guide, Kelly, said she'd never seen them put on a show like we saw. Arthur was amusing and kept us entertained & informed even though his usual "narrator" was off that day. Truly an amazing adventure for this prairie couple!
