We were so appreciative of our hosts Cindy and Heiko's understanding when our plane was cancelled and were a day late arriving. They have a wonderful 4 bedroom home, each with their own bathroom. The rooms are nicely decorated, the views amazing and bed comfortable. The breakfast is made to order, and as much as you like. Over breakfast we heard all about their tall ship and how they ended up in Twillingate. The rooms are a bit small and there is no sitting room for the evening. Being summer we enjoyed the deck, but if it were cold or wet it might have been a problem. We would definitely stay here again, a real hidden gem.

We enjoy getting acquainted with each of our guests. That;s one thing about our century old B&B, the kitchen is and was the hub for conversation and eating , (Even though we do have some great discussions in the front room). Thank you for your kind comments.

This cute little home is on the main street but we were never disturbed by traffic even though our room was in the front on the first floor in a very comfortable queen bed. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home, including providing a cooked-to-order breakfast. We felt very welcomed and cared for during our stay.

Rum Runner's Roast is an old house that has been updated enough to make it a comfortable, clean place to stay without losing its character. Our room has a great view of the harbour and although it overlooked the main street, traffic noise was not an issue (even with the windows open). The queen size bed was very comfortable and the linens were good quality. It was a nice touch to have a conveniently placed power bar to recharge all of our electronics. The three piece bath was well equipped and had a table and shelf handy to the sink. Our hosts, Cindy & Heiko, were very accommodating and gave us lots of great suggestions on what to see and do on Twillingate Island. Their B&B is within walking distance of a good restaurant and some of the local attractions. Their breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and there was more than enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetite.
If you visit the area, don't miss the Split Peas concert, Cow Head Dinner Theatre, Prime Berth Interpretative Fishing Center and the unofficial fishing museum across the bay.

We stumbled on this little gem by accident. We were eating supper at a local restaurant and my husband googled B and B and called the first one he came across. What good luck. Hosts were very friendly and made us a great breakfast and sat and chatted for over an hour. Bed very comfortable and tidy and right on the water. Lovely veranda for summer season to sit out and enjoy the scenery and a glass of wine. Would definitely recommend and stay longer to site see.

We stayed two nights here, and enjoyed meeting the kind, helpful and interesting owners. Location really convenient, and though it is on the main street we didn't have any problem sleeping. Room was comfortable, breakfasts were wonderful.

This was a very good place to stay.We had the use of the kitchen. The owners booked our dinner theatre and were very sweet. There were 3 of us traveling and the cost of the 2nd bed was higher than any other B&B we stayed in NFLD or New Brunswick and we were there for a month. The bed was just a cot. We stayed there early in our stay so we did not know what the going rate was for an extra person in the room. It ranged from $5-$35 at the Rum Runner

The price comparison for the third guest is probably accurate. We justify this by the numerous extras we provide and at no additional charge. In fact, I know of no other B&B offering what we do. The so called "cot" referred to by the contrilbutor is by no means a cot but a custom ordered bed noted for it's comfort and portabiliy. These observations/comparisons must be accurate or else credibility is lost.

Our stay in Twillingate was a highlight of our visit to Newfoundland. We stayed for three nights and fully enjoyed our time in this scenic town. Our hosts, Heiko and Cindy, were knowledgeable and gave us many useful tips on local area sights, points of interest, restaurants, and historical tidbits. We enjoyed our time chatting with our hosts and other guests over a satisfying breakfast. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable and clean and overall, for first time users of a B&B , Rum Runners Roost met all of our expectations. The owners went out of their way to accommodate our needs and questions and looked to do so for of all their guests.
We left feeling that we had made new friends and have no hesitation in recommending Rum Runner's Roost B&B to visitors of scenic Twillingate.
