“Nice walk”

The sun was out, Gigha was looking nice so we went for a walk around the gardens. Very pretty although bits were roped off. The walled gardens were good to sit in the sun.

“Gardens on Isle of Gigha”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2012

beautiful ferry trip from Kintyre to Gigha then a half hour walk . gardens extensive and lovely specimens, especially in walled garden. Green houses in need of refurbishment. stunning view out over the sea Westwards.
Honesty box for entrance fee......no one about .
You need a nice day for the trip which we had. The island is a haven of peace, no tourist shops, no yellow lines on the road, bliss.
Well worth a trip...if only for the view!
Sailings on the hour from mainland of Kintyre.

“Trip to the gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2012

We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and the gardens were beautiful in the scottish sunshine. They are less formal than many gardens but there is a pleasent walk through allowing you to while away a few hours. We did not come across any tea / coffee facilities so bring a flask.
