We spent 7 wonderful days in Springbank hosted by Betty and Kenny. It was superb - the food, the accommodation, the location (views out of this world), and the great chats with Betty and Kenny. At the end we felt we had known them all our lives. We fell in love with the place and the island. We can recommend this place to everybody. Go there and you will be spoilt.

Springbank is perfectly situated on the beautiful island of Gigha with stunning views over the coast. There is is a nearby isoalted beach which often has seals sunbathing and apparantly basking sharks can sometimes be spotted. The accomodation is very clean and modern and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Betty and Kenny are the perfect hosts and couldn't have been kinder. Betty met us from the ferry and took us to the house where we had an amazing selection of homebaking and a welcome cup of tea. The homecooked breakfasts were delicious and very substantial and a selection of homebaking was put in every room in case you managed to work up an appetite during the night! The nicest bed abd Breakfast i have every stayed in.

Room Tip: All rooms equally lovely

Betty & Kenny are great hosts in this fabulous B&B. The location and views speak for themselves, and the accomodation is superb and imaculately clean. I had single occupancy of their twin room, with en suite, TV and a tray loaded with tea, coffee cakes and biscuits. A fabulous traditional breakfast complete with two eggs from Betty's own hens. All for only £32 per night (May 2012)
In the aerial photo, Springbank is the left hand of the two white buildings at the top right..

We're just back from a 3 day stay at this fantastic B&B. Betty and Kenny are perfect hosts who made us feel extremely welcome in their beautiful home. Our whole stay was excellent. Betty very kindly picked us up from the ferry when we arrived and took our luggage to the ferry on our last day so that we could enjoy the day without bags.

When we arrived, Betty made us tea with delicious home baking which we scoffed while enjoying the gorgeous views from the lounge. Every day we also had fresh baking in our room alongside our tea making facilities - a rare and wonderful treat! Breakfasts were excellent and huge! It was lovely to be able to enjoy the great views from the house as we ate. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and everything was beautifully clean.

The location of this B&B is fabulous. To the front of the house is the sea and views to Islay - there is a lovely little beach within 5 minutes walk where we spent hours watching otters and birds. To the back is Achamore Gardens - beautiful gardens which are very well worth visiting. For evening meals you may want to eat at the Hotel or the Boathouse - these are only a 10 minute walk from the B&B. The Boathouse meals are more imaginative but it is up for sale at the moment...

All in all we would thoroughly recommend a stay at Springbank B&B! We would definitely stay again!
