While on holiday in Campbeltown decided to take the ferry to Gigha, saw the Boathouse and thought it would be perfect for coffee and a sandwich how wrong can you be, even though the couple in front of us got sandwiches we were told we could not have them as chef was busy getting evening meal prepped
We ordered drinks and went to sit down outside, when the waitress brought them to us, we had to ask for milk and sugar she went off and fetched us some milk but no sugar then we had to ask again for sugar, but when she brought it it was just one single lump in a pot , when we said that 3 of us required sugar she said you are really messing me about today , finally she bought a few more sugar lumps but no tongs to take them out of the small pot which was not big enough to get your fingers in. For this service we had to pay £7.50 for 2 coffees and one tea. Needless to say we wont be returning

Made a reservation as advised. Sea food was just fabulous, very fresh and so well presented. Excellent service too from Kate. Very pleasant. Had lunch the following day outside. Lovely position by the shore. Highly recommended, but closing soon for the end of the season.

Ate twice at the Boathouse and both meals were delicious, well presented and generous portions. Most of the fish is caught local and although seems pricey it’s worth the money. Halibut great, sea bass very nice and the fish and chips were very good too.

Visited with family last weekend and had a wonderful day on Gigha. The restaurant sits by one of Gighas's beautiful beaches. We were seated at an outdoor table and were met with quick, friendly service. We ordered some freshly prepared seafood dishes, the food was fantastic. Loved the trip to Gigha and the resturant's relaxed feeling, will definitely be making a return journey!
