We went for a Sunday roast which is a carvery. Having booked a table we were shown to our place by a very warm and friendly waitress who was very helpful despite the pub being quite busy.
The food was well cooked and there is a nice range of vegetables available, which meant my plate being a lot heavier on my journey back to the table. I took a mix of the 3 meats on offer as they all looked so good and made it difficult to choose.
A nice selection of beers was available but I was most pleased to see a selection of wines that included several French options (not always easy to find in your average pub in the UK)
Finding room for dessert was a struggle but as others were ordering it was not easy to miss what was on offer as they passed us. As well as those on the menu there is also a hot dessert of the day. As we gave in to temptation, we decided upon the strawberry pavlova which was delicious, not too heavy and the strawberries were very fresh.
Overall the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed. If you've got kids, there is a play area in the back adjacent to a large car park. Dogs - there's a nice green lawn at the front and for those out of town visiting, you're only a short drive from Horsell village, the common or Woking town centre.
