Really like the food there, very tasty and nice portions. Excellent service but when paying bill, put card and tip in little folder [mistake] - the male chef/boss rushed to take it from our table.. I thought I will mention to the lovely waitress that I had left £5 for her - she said they were not allowed to take tips and tip would be kept by boss. So so wrong!!!!

The portions are great and that suited myself and partner cos we enjoy a good amount of food. The starters were also great, the prawns in butter and garlic were lovely. However, the pizzas we had for mains were just average. The base was good, but the toppings were tasteless. Advice for owner/chef: get salted mozzarella not the tasteless, unsalted version. A bit of garlic and seasoning is needed in the tomato sauce, and generally, seek better quality ingredients. The olives were the ones canned in water, a black Kalamata olive is definitely the best. Also, i would advise that the veg like peppers and artichokes are chargilled first, and that any meat added should be of a better quality - the pepperoni was very bland. Overall, ok but wouldnt go back.

Ciao Bella has become a real local favourite of mine over the past few years! Great both with friends, small groups and large, and also with family including young children. The food never disappoints and the service is always good. The lunch menu is great value with good portions and delicious food. The soup of the day is a personal favourite served with traditional Italian home made bread. I usually go for the pizza but have also tried some pasta dishes. The chocolate pudding (if I have room for it) is yummy and also perfect to share! Note that if you like spicy food, they have a delicious chilly oil to add to your dish - again home made! I look forward to many more meals at this lovely Italian restaurant in Romford.

My boyfriend absolutely loves it here, we always have a lovely meal and are treated with excellent service, the food is always presented beautifully and nothing is too much trouble for the chef. A nice change from the normal chain restaurants.
