Hotel in great location, easy to find from motorway. Set back from busy road but minmal if any noise to be heard in room.

Welcoming pub and restaurant attached, roaring log fire welcomed in contrast to the ice and snow outside!

Room (I had executive double) was a good size, very large and comfortable bed, modern bathroom and all the usual facilities you would expect (digital tv, hairdryer, iron, tea and coffe and bottled water etc).

The only slight criticism I would mention is the standard of housekeeping throughout my stay. I was at the hotel for a full working week and the bedding was never changed and poorly made up each day. On at least one occasion the bathroom was not cleaned, although fresh towels were provided each day. This aside, a great value hotel and have already booked again for my next business trip to Rochdale.

We stayed here for a one night stop over on our way for a weekend break. We found the hotels special offer of dinner, bed and breakfast for £89 at the last minute and decided to book. The hotel in set back from the main road but our room was at the back of the hotel so we didn’t hear any traffic. Our room was fine, similar to what you would get at a Premier Inn, but the bathroom smelt a bit musty. The only problem we had was that the room was extremely hot, we had to sleep with the window wide open and it still didn’t cool it down and it was a damp, miserable night so not even the high of summer.
As we booked at the last minute the Italian restaurant that comes highly recommended was full so we dined in the grill which was fine. Included in the rate you can have any three courses from the menu which is excellent value as my husband had the fillet steak for main. On a Saturday night the restaurant is extremely busy and full for parties so not exactly the place for a romantic meal for two. Our meal was fine and the service was good.
Breakfast the next morning was a bit chaotic as they kept on running out of things such as plates, bacon etc. If you want a cooked breakfast you have to be queue at the hot counter to be served but there was only one person serving so you waited quite a while.
All in all it was fine one night stop over and if we needed a place to stay in the area again I would probably go back.

Came here as a birthday treat, they do a really really good deal that includes three course meal and a room for a set price. Upon arrival to the room my partner had discovered that the bottle of wine she had planned to be in the room as a surprise for me was not there, it was a lovely gesture which didn't have the impact she had planned due to the incompetence of the hotel staff, i see from these reviews that its not the first time this has happened! Sorry Royal Toby...home goal! All this said, the stay was very enjoyable with the Fallen Angels being a must.

Stayed in this hotel for business. The staff were great,if not a bit eccentic, but I come from the South, and I think the North is after Watford Gap.
The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fabulous.
Only two complaints , and they are very minor, I could not find an alarm clock to wake me up at 5 am, so asked for an alarm call,Unfortunately th alarm call never happened, so ......

Got a cracking deal of the net, and sometimes you dont know what to expect..
This place is lovely...
Hotel rooms are a good size with tea making facilities and a trouser press.
Good bathroom and in reality faultless.

It has connected to it, a bar and a couple of restaurants , that are very popular..!!
I would recomend giving this a try...

Only one slight downside , they want to charge your credit or debit card at the time of booking...Not on arrival, but when you book..Just be careful...

Lovely place off road, so plenty of parking. Two restaurants. Very plush, and staff very courteous and efficient. Evening meal and breakfast very nice. Rooms spacious, and immaculately clean throughout. The only slight fault seemed to be a noisy heater in the room, but only a minor point. This place is a little gem and we will definitely be returning.
