Stays here in a family room on a stopover to the southeast found staff especially Laura who booked us in very friendly room standard clean .my only gripe was breakfast next door it was terrible and I have never complained about premier in. Breakfasts before very unorganised toaster not a toaster no bacon sausage or beans on buffet few mushrooms and the worst eggs I have ever tasted in my life the tasted like rubber no one seem to be available to complain too so put it down to a one off as usually I rave about them .portishead is a lovely little area very picturesque

Therevisn't really much to say. It is a typical Premier in, the service was good, the bed comfortable, the price was sensible.

But the diner was very poor standard of cooking, meat cooked to leather and the chips not cooked enough - I was too tired to complain

Stay here and Premier inns all over the country and you get the same in each one, which is why I like them! You know what you're getting, good comfortable, clean accommodation with a pub next door! What more do you want? I'm amazed by some of the negative reviews! Honestly people complaining about hot rooms!!!! Every hotel you stay in has warm rooms, it's just how it is! Bottom line is it does what it says on the tin!

On our way down to Cornwall and decided to stay overnight as it's such a long drive. Chose the Premier Inn at Portishead. Justr a couple of minutes from the motorway For a 'budget' hotel it was excellent. Staff very helpful, room extremely clean as was bathroom. Television, tea and coffee making facilities in room, hair drier and a fan (no air conditioning). As like all Premier Inns there is some kind of eatery a few yards away. Ate in there, once again, for the price, the quality and service very good. I have to say just one word about the drinks...... I had a bottle of diet coke which was over £2. On looking at the menu, I could have had as much coke as I wanted for less. So look at the menu before like me, you order your soft drink!
Breakfast was very good at a cost of £8.
Overall as I said above 'for a budget hotel' it was excellent.
What more can I say !

I have just returned from a one night stay at the Premier Inn at Portishead with my grandson and must say I was very impressed with the high standard set in all departments.

The young lady who checked me in was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble, room 15 was first class although very hot (27.5 at one time)
with the sun coming in the window most of the afternoon and evening but a electric fan in the room was a great in helping to cool it down but as others have mentioned it would be better if air condition was available

Dinner in the restaurant was of a very good standard and very fairly priced again the staff were very helpful, also breakfast in the morning was first class but some sweeter apples in the fruit salad available would have helped!!!!!!! With me having a full breakfast this meant my grandson being under 16 eat free which he thought was great.

I would fully recommend the hotel

Room Tip: If it is very hot I would recommend one of the rooms over looking the car park

We stayed here in Room 31, for one night, the room was lovely, clean and comfortable beds, the staff were friendly, the restaurant alongside provided lovely meals.
The only one down side was mostly due to being unlucky in that our stay happened to fall in the middle of the heatwave we'd been having. The staff had done all they could to help keep the room as cool as possible, they had left the window open, closed the curtains to block out the sun and they gave us a small fan. On arrival the temperature was 27.5C in the room and the thermometer got as high as 29.5C (I do wonder whether they don't go above that temperature as I'm sure it was hotter than that at one point)
It seemed we could adjust the heater to make the room hotter but it doesn't go colder as its not an air con facility. However, this may apply only to certain rooms as I have seen others say there was air-con, we purchased the room on a super saver rate, this may have affected which room we were given perhaps.
On a normal day this would have been a perfect place to stay, we were just unlucky.
