Stayed at Travelodge Portishead for three nights. Can't fault the staff who were helpful and friendly. The bed was clean and comfortable. Main complaint: The shower was little more than a dribble (I had trouble rinsing the shampoo from my thinning pate). Bring your own toiletries. There is no hanging or cupboard space; so you live out of your suitcase. There is no bar or restaurant but there are restaurants nearby and a watering hole or two on the high street about 7 minutes' walk away. There is a small kettle in the room. The purpose of our visit was to see relatives and the hotel suited our purpose.... and I guess that is all Travelodge is about!

Stopped on Saturday night, it was very hot in the hotel but it was very hot everywhere! The staff lend us a fan which kept the room bearable, nice room, nice beds great staff, Chell in particular, very friendly and informative.

Stopped off here for a night in July, while travelling to Bristol Airport from South Wales. Arrived here about 8pm and we were checked in straight away on reception. Make sure you park in the White bays in the car park as the red bays are for the shoppers in Lidl. We were staying on the first floor which has been recently refurbished. We had a family room which had plenty of room for us all. There is a Lidl and a Waitrose within walking distance of this hotel. It is worth a walk to the Marina which is right opposite the Hotel. There are Kettle and coffee equipment in the room. Bathroom is ok, but the water was cold and took a long time to go down when emptied.

We left the hotel in the early hours, the airport is about 30 minutes away from the hotel.

All in All It was a very pleasant stay and I would return to this hotel again.

We stopped off here to break up a long journey from Scotland to Cornwall. The hotel was excellent, recently refitted to an exceptionally high standard for a budget hotel. The location by the marina with fantastic shops including a waitrose on the same site was an added bonus for a travelling family.

Without doubt this was the best value for money night in a hotel I have ever had. Highly recommended. Special mention to Roger on reception who greeted us with a smile and made us feel very welcome after our 9 hour drive. He couldn't have been more helpful.
