Went to the fox&hounds on a Saturday at around 7pm with my partner and little boy. The pub has recently been refurbished and to a very high standard. The decor & atmosphere is lovely. All staff (bar & waiting) were pleasant and attentive. Drinks were brought promptly. It did take a while for our meals to arrive to say the pub wasn't very full or busy. My son was given crayons and pictures to do some colouring which was a nice touch. My son had fish fingers chips & peas. It was nice to see that the fish fingers were not the frozen sort but freshly home cooked ones with a batter coating that my son really enjoyed. Me & my partner both opted for the lamb in a sauce with veg & potatoes. Everything was cooked lovely and tasted great the only complaint I had was that the lamb steaks were a bit on the small side. The menu didn't have much choice at all so would not recommend for fussy eaters. Kids eat free mon-sat which is a big bonus. The bill came to £28 for 2 adult meals 2 cokes & a fruit shoot. It did seem a bit steep to me but I know everyone's price range is different. Overall it is a nice place to eat but the lack of menu choice would stop me from going again.
