Diane and Margery are very thoughtful hosts and their two houses - joined through an arch in the hedge - are spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful and everything was just beautifully decorated and presented.

This is a fabulous location close to everything but near the quiet village of Wilmslow and only about a 7-10 minute easy drive to Manchester Airport. Not far from Little Moreton Hall, which is just NOT to be missed, Lyme House (Pride & Prejudice filmset) and many other lovely places. Alderley Edge is amazing and you can drive across the Peak Distric National Park with spectacular - not to be missed views. Then there is Manchester, Stockport and all the other places of interest in the history of textiles like cotton and silk.

Don't make the mistake of thinking this is not an area of natural beauty and historic interest. There is so much to see and Heatherlea Guest House is just so convenient for seeing it all without getting involved in big towns or cities unless you choose to.

Flying home to Australia from Manchester Airport was indeed a good choice - we would always avoid Heathrow in favour of Manchest in the future.

Stayed for 1 night whilst visiting a trade show.
Ample secure parking. Arriving late was no problem. Built a rapport on arrival and shown to our room and told about breakfast times. Lovely big airy room with large windows Which overlook a beautiful garden. tastefully decorated with modern spotles clean showerroom
Bed was comfy and yes the pillows are good quality. Curtains could benefit from a lining.
Breakfast was freshly cooked with nice sausages.
Also good value for money .We would stay again .

Stayed as a base whilst attending a wedding. The two rooms we had were first class and very clean. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts tried very hard to make sure we all had what we wanted especially the two youngsters. As we were running late they even helped arrange a taxi for us. Would recommend Heatherlea to anyone and would certainly use again.

We have just returned home after a 3 night stay at Heatherlea. This really is a home from home, we were made to feel very welcome and they were possibly the most comfortable beds we have slept in away from home!

A hearty breakfast awaits you each morning, which is an additonal charge of 3GBP (well worth the money). Although you can request scrambled/poached/boiled eggs or beans on toast as we did on a couple of mornings. There are also a selection of cereals, yogurt and fruit.

The garden at the back of the property is beautifully maintained with a seating area, there are also plenty of parking spaces to the front of the property.

The guest house is also easily reached from Manchester Airport and is two minutes walk from the nearest bus stop which takes you into Wilmslow or Stockport.

Thank you to Marjorie and Diane for a lovely stay.

Having just returned from a stay at the Heatherlea guest house we have to say that it was excellent. We were staying for a christening in the area and my husband and I plus family and small grandchildren were very comfortably accommodated. Diane & Marjorie are so friendly and helpful we were all made very welcome. Everything was spotless, rooms well appointed and a beautiful garden . Breakfasts were excellent and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: Rooms are the rear of the B & B have lovely views over the garden

We came down as a large family group (2 grandparents, 4 parents, 4 children aged 1, 2, 3, and 4) for a Christening. We had searched many places around the area for family rooms which seem like gold dust (especially when we needed 2). The rooms were perfect for what we needed. The garden was great for letting the children run around before breakfast or before we went out (and for adults to have a chat on a night). Diane the owner was brilliant, we needed ice-packs freezing she did them for us, she was helpful when asking her questions about trips etc (even when she was obviously busy cleaning rooms she still took time to help us). The breakfasts were beautiful, really tasty. If you are looking for family rooms in this area which are clean, spacious and airy, lovely breakfasts, a large garden and a very attentive owner then Heatherlea is the place to stay!

This guest house was a lovely, clean place to stay, we stayed in a family room and it was great for all of us. The breakfast was delicious and had a great choice. Lovely, well kept garden for the children (and adults) to sit and play in.Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Would highly recommend and we will definatley be back.
