Heatherlea Guest House

We have just returned home after a 3 night stay at Heatherlea. This really is a home from home, we were made to feel very welcome and they were possibly the most comfortable beds we have slept in away from home!

A hearty breakfast awaits you each morning, which is an additonal charge of 3GBP (well worth the money). Although you can request scrambled/poached/boiled eggs or beans on toast as we did on a couple of mornings. There are also a selection of cereals, yogurt and fruit.

The garden at the back of the property is beautifully maintained with a seating area, there are also plenty of parking spaces to the front of the property.

The guest house is also easily reached from Manchester Airport and is two minutes walk from the nearest bus stop which takes you into Wilmslow or Stockport.

Thank you to Marjorie and Diane for a lovely stay.

Having just returned from a stay at the Heatherlea guest house we have to say that it was excellent. We were staying for a christening in the area and my husband and I plus family and small grandchildren were very comfortably accommodated. Diane & Marjorie are so friendly and helpful we were all made very welcome. Everything was spotless, rooms well appointed and a beautiful garden . Breakfasts were excellent and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: Rooms are the rear of the B & B have lovely views over the garden

We came down as a large family group (2 grandparents, 4 parents, 4 children aged 1, 2, 3, and 4) for a Christening. We had searched many places around the area for family rooms which seem like gold dust (especially when we needed 2). The rooms were perfect for what we needed. The garden was great for letting the children run around before breakfast or before we went out (and for adults to have a chat on a night). Diane the owner was brilliant, we needed ice-packs freezing she did them for us, she was helpful when asking her questions about trips etc (even when she was obviously busy cleaning rooms she still took time to help us). The breakfasts were beautiful, really tasty. If you are looking for family rooms in this area which are clean, spacious and airy, lovely breakfasts, a large garden and a very attentive owner then Heatherlea is the place to stay!

This guest house was a lovely, clean place to stay, we stayed in a family room and it was great for all of us. The breakfast was delicious and had a great choice. Lovely, well kept garden for the children (and adults) to sit and play in.Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Would highly recommend and we will definatley be back.

My wife and I stayed at Heatherlea in early July 2011 and were quite pleased. The house is a fifteen minute walk from the rail station on a quiet street. Marjorie and Diane were lovely hosts and quite helpful. They even arranged an early morning airport shuttle pickup for us which was a great deal as well as a real convenience. The B & B had large, spotless rooms, en suite bath, and beautiful gardens. The breakfast was very good, and we were absolutely satisfied with this guesthouse. We strongly recommend this B & B as a great value in Wilmslow.

My husband and I stayed here whilst visiting our new grand daughter (Tilly) and found Diane and Marjorie excellent hosts, making us feel welcome and relaxed. Our room was spotlessly clean, nice en suite, fluffy white towels, tea/coffee/biscuits etc provided and the essential box of tissues and hairdryer for myself !! The breakfast was superb. Very good value for money in a lovely environment. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We had a twin room, which was big and light.

We stayed overnight for a christening with a friend and the staff were very friendly and didn't mind that we checked in late as we were busy catching up with our friends. Our friend actually stayed in the house next door and because it was late ( 10ish) we were shown to our rooms but wanted to catch up more but didn't feel we could so it was shame we weren't in the same buidling or there wasn't a communal space. However it was only small detail.
The bed was quite comfortable with good pillows. The view from the window, over the beautifully kept garden, was lovely and it was quiet, however the curtains were made from a very thin material so in the morning it was quite bright- we had rare mancunian sunshine shining through! The room also had 2 chairs good for having a cup of tea in and watching the small flat screen. I would say the overall effect of the room is quite 'chintzy' and maybe a little dated but I think that's part of it's charm.

The bathroom was v modern, good shower and v clean. A few cobwebs in the corners of the bedroom ceiling though!

Breakfast was really good- we had the full english which set us up for the day- really good and the staff were really lovely!

All in all great value!
