“Enjoyable visit”
Reviewed April 29, 2014

We visited here the other week and overall enjoyed the experience.
We were looked after very well by the staff, the food concept was enjoyable (loved the iceberg lettuce with the steak) and the wine flowed.
Didn't realise that this was a chain restaurant until after our visit but I thought that the overall concept worked well.

Nice bar area with a generous selection of drinks, ales and lagers.

Friends had sirloin steak which seemed to be cooked well, my T bone was ok but not as good as expected and No, I didn't comment to the staff as it wasn't that bad so I cannot really complain.

Overall, we ate too much and enjoyed ourselves!

“Like rare steak? Forget this place.”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Visited this place for mothers day - when asked how we liked our steak we all asked for rare - No can do was the reply - Ribeye, too fatty to have rare (most rib of beef roast joints are cooked rare), and the same excuse for rump steak.

Needless to say two of the three steaks were well done, and had the overall taste of burnt fibre.

A complaint was made, but the paltry offering of two free sweets was accepted as I didn't want to upset my mother as it had been her choice to come here.

As said - if you like rare steak go somewhere where they can cook, and not try fobbing you off with a load of rubbish.

“Food was aweful”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

A group of us from work visited the Miller & Carter, after some good steak and ribs, what we received was terrible. I ordered ribs which had very little meat on and tasted terrible, others ordered steak which were extremely fatty and well over cooked. when confront the waiter he seemed uninterested and when speaking with the manager he stated "the ribs aren't very good at all, I'm not sure why they changed our supplier." After a heated debate we were given a considerable discount however if I find myself back in Wilmslow, I will not be returning to the Miller and Carter
