We booked to have an early dinner to celebrate a birthday. The booking was for 6:30pm and we arrived on time. The order for popadoms and accompaniments took 45 mins and the order for our food didn't arrive until 8pm! Whilst we weren't initially in a hurry, to wait 1.5 hours was no joke! I've had faster service in upmarket French restaurants! A party of revellers had also been seated and proceeded to drown out everyone else's conversation with raucous laughter and loud chattering. The serving staff were nowhere to be seen and were clearly embarrassed at the time it was taking for the kitchen to prepare food for service. None of the staff thought to offer complimentary drinks to fill in the time. The food, when it eventually arrived was very tasty and well cooked but that did not make up for the really poor service from the kitchen and the lack of attention from the front of house staff. Others had commented but DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY!
