Valentines Park provides a lovely green open space within Ilford free of charge for the community. The park is open from 8am until dusk through you the year with car parking available on site (currently £3 for the day). Valentines Park was originally the parkland of a gentlemans residence built in 1696, but now contains tennis courts, a boating lake (there is a charge for hire), outdoor gym, basketball court, bowling green and events such as timed running and open air theatre.

Ther are plenty of pathways for walking and cycling, and a number of benches upon which to relax and take in your surroundings. The mansion for the park is open to the public for events and art exhibitions and has a recreated Victorian kitchen and Georgian rooms. There is also a cafe by the mansion and gift shop. Well worth a few hours on a sunny day with a picnic!

Lovely park - well tended, plenty of space for families to enjoy a summers day together walking the dog.

Nice park to spend some quality time there with the loved ones ;)

The only not good thing is that finding the parking is a bit of a problem at times :(

Has plenty play area for children, with separate area for younger children. It's great for cycling in and has a boating lake.

This park could have reached 5* if there wasn't dog mess everywhere, it makes me sick that people don't pick up after their dogs, my 5 year old daughter ended up treading in it and getting it all over her trousers .... thankfully this was on the way back to the car where said trousers were promptly removed and trashed!! I also wasn't impressed with the playground area, much too small considering how massive the park is, there is a small area with climbing frames and next to that a small areas with a couple of toddler slides and about 8-10 swings, my daughter stood patiently waiting for a go along with many other children for about 10 minutes and none of the parents were polite enough to stop their child's turn to give other children a turn ..... time to leave!! If you want to go feed some wildlife its good as there were loads of ducks, swans etc and the squirrels were really tame, won't be visiting there again any time soon, also I had to pay to use the Park's car park.
