Beautiful park :) Really large, with a nice pond and play structure. Also a neat outdoor fitness section! Tennis courts too and a cute snack bar type thing. Great for a picnic or to spend the afternoon when its nice out!

“Beautiful Park”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

A very well maintained, clean and beautiful park - The Queens Dry Gardens, is the newest edition and was built for the Queens visit in 2012 - It is a very artist Park - lots of artist contribute to the look and have done so throughout it's history and there is a lot of history to be learned - you can read the plaques situated at various points - It is also home to to the beautiful Mansion, which can be visited for free. There is a farmers market every fourth Sunday. It also hosts many fairs and events, there is always a full calender at Valentines Park - but a walk through to see the wildlife that live there on a daily basis is a wondrous sight to see at any time.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

A lovely park, well kept, several large ponds and a lake. Refreshments available near the lake plus boat hire. A pleasant cafe by the old Mansion House which is open to visitors. Clean toilets beside each venue.

“Really nice park”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Its a long walk or a drive to get here but its always lovely.
Go for a walk round pond , you can boat in summer, kids playgrounds were all done up a few yaers ago and there an outside gym by the tennis courts. We stumbled across the Holocause memorial a few weeks ago which is out on the outskirts of the park -It needs some benches!! You can eat or drink in cafe near kids bit. Its recently had a lick of paint but is a basic greasy spoon with cakes and ice creams really. Toilets are generally revolting unfortunately so avoid if u can. Try and combine with a trip to Valentines mansion which is really nice.
