I was lucky enough to go on a guided tour of this beautiful house. The guide was very good and brought the story of the house to life. There is not much furniture in the rooms but the spacious interior is delightful. The kitchen is well set out in what used to be the Orangery. There is also an interesting video explaining how the house was restored. The house is set in lovely gardens which have many unusual features. Unfortunately the roses had been and gone as they are of a Victorian variety and only flower in June. On leaving the garden area you can stroll through the large park down to the boating lake where there is a café and an exciting children's playground. A FREE map is obtainable from the house showing the gardens and the park.
