“If you go there dont go for breakfast!”

We were pleased with our room although the bathroom was a little bit grubby, nothing awful and the reception staff were helpful and pleasant. So our evening there was a pleasant experience. However BREAKFAST left us with a very unpleasant taste in the mouth so to speak. We were greeted by a woman who barred our way into the breakfast room, shouting "Breakfast slip" at first I could not understand her because she had a strong accent. She did not appear to speak English but then argued with a colleague about our breakfast slip. She said we would have to find it... however, the receptionist confirmed that we had paid for breakfast. The breakfast was fairly sparce, and the cooked breakfast appeared to have been cooked a while ago, including the eggs which were in a warming tray. The choice appeared to be stewed tea and coffee, two croissants and cereal apart from the cooked display. The room was long and narrow and glaringly bright with two large screen t.v.s at each end of the room each playing the same channel, but the second one a few seconds behind the first, since it displayed subtitles in English which the Breakfast slip maid was watching, when she wasnt scrutinising us - presumably so we did not take too much of our fair share. It was a truley horrible experience - which was a pity because the rooms were nice and the other staff tried to make us welcome - but Breakfast slip remains as a nasty memory!!! as does breakfast room !!!

Let me start by thanking you for completing our Guest Survey regarding your recent stay at our property.

First of all I would like to sincerely apologise for all the inconvenience caused to you during your stay with us.

We have thoroughly investigated the matter and found that the breakfast staff did fail to carry out their duties efficiently. A refresher training program for all breakfast staff has been put in place to ensure this kind of incidents won’t happen again. We will also make sure that the cleaning agency recruits English speaking staff to keep the standard of customer service on a high level.

We have noted your concern on the TV sets and lights on, however it was done according to the requests of many guests.

Please accept again our most sincere apologies for any inconvenience and I would like to thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, and sincerely hope this doesn’t deter you from staying with Best Western Hotels in future.

Hotel rooms and breakfast very good but the woman in breakfast room and late in reception; talk in another language diferent to english to all the staff; screaming in front of every customer similar we are part of the decoration of the hotel, it was really descasting.
We attempted to talk to the general manager and to our surprise; she is the manager.
Attitude and presentation of this lady is only for a cleaner not for a General Manager;
Best Western hotels have class and category but I believe with this one they made a terrible mistake

We were completely shocked to find out about this incident. We have taken this matter very seriously indeed and after a thorough investigation we came to know that the person involved was on training. And she is no longer with the company.

I stayed one night in late October. I am a frequent traveller to London and tend to head to Ilford or Redbridge for easy access via the underground or overhead station in Ilford. This hotel is ideally situated for the train which is two minutes away.

Parking could be a problem as the surrounding roads are all yellow lines, but I was able to park on their forecourt. Lovely clean, well decorated and nicely furnished room, though somewhat small. Great facilities, nice clean bathroom. Relatively pleasant staff, but other than signing in at reception I had no dealings with the staff.

I was out most of the time and literally just used the hotel for sleeping in, so cannot even comment on the food as I did not eat at the hotel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel without question.

However, Best Western at No 3 IS NOT to be confused with its rival The Best Inn which is opposite at No 10 Argyle Road. Unfortunately I made this mistake myself and booked the Best Inn in error (meant to book Best Western)

The Best Inn is the hotel from hell!!! Please do not make the same mistake that I did and book the wrong hotel as the names are so similar!
