The Olive Branch is arguably Horsham's best boozer for a social evening with friends but I had not dined there since the new team started running the pub. So it was a very pleasant surprise to discover the great value menu offered for dining in the restaurant. Although it was a Saturday night the pub was not very busy but this might have been because it was a warm evening and quite a few people were on the front terrace and in the garden. The staff were excellent but thin on the ground and when we arrived we could not find anyone to announce our arrival to. There was no one behind the bar because I think they were changing a barrel. Anyway after an uncertain start we were offered to seat ourselves wherever we liked and found the rear conservatory to be the best option on a summer's evening. We also ejoyed watching the activity in the kitchen across the pass which fronts onto the dining area. Our waiter was great and we had soon ordered a bottle of wine and two courses that arrived in good time and were delicious. We did not feel rushed as we have elsewhere and enjoyed the evening very much. Recommended.
