“Why are we waiting”

13 diners booked in for 7pm. Restaurent fairly busy (must be the 50% off food deal) but food order taken at 7.20.
8 O'clock rolls round, no sign of food but 2 rounds of drinks ordered and delivered.
8.10 couple on table who came in after us have eaten and left. We ask where starters are? and are told 5 minutes, 10 minutes later, ask again and starters are bought out about 5 minutes after that. They arrive very slowly (only our waitress is bringing the food, not one of the other staff help (including the manager - who didn't seem to be doing alot)) Some of the food has clearly been sitting on the pass for a while (sadly cooked lettuce and bread which had toasted under the hot lamps). Okay made it through starters now the main course
This arrived so slowly that several of us had almost finished before everyone had recieved theirs. Despite starting when the food was put infront of us alot of it was cold, the ribs were burnt and then this was disguised with lots of sauce.
Waitress was really apologetic and the manager waived the food bill.
I can't figure out quite how it all went wrong, but we will never return to a Beefeater again

“good food at the Beefeater”

A varied menu and good value, particularly the children's menu. Great service and well-prepared food.

“2 disgraceful plates of food”

New Year's day 4pm were very pleasantly asked to wait for a table, unexpectedly busy. OK no problem. We were soon showed to a table then ordered one 10oz rump steak, medium rare and one salmon fillet.
After a long wait the plates were put down in front of us. Medium rare steak, in 2 pieces, was grey outside and inside (nothing like the description or picture on the menu), very old chips and mushroom. The salmon dish was equally sad with a skin on the sauce bowl.
Realising we were on a loser today we got up and explained the reasons why were leaving.
Such a pity as i have always looked forward to a steak at Beefeater, but would not put myself in this position again.

“It's had it's day!”

This Beefeater has been there ever since I can remember. It has clearly had its day. Although had a refurbishment in the not too distant past, it hasn't improved. Prices have gone up, quality of food hasn't. Everytime I visit to see if its improved have been left waiting to be seated. Waitresses are in short supply.
It's a good place to meet for a drink in the bar but for dinner out I'd go elsewhere. I think it would do much better if replaced with a Harvester.

“November Stay @Premier Inn”

My company booked me into the Premier Inn and paid for the meal deal at this establishment.
Firstly the breakfasts, all 3 were of a high quality and the staff were excellent. All you can eat is tempting but not practical because its very filling if you order correctly. Only negative was they advertise bread as being fresh but its not
Next we have the evening meals. The food was of a high quality on the 3 different meals I had and portion sizes were good. Service however was different, only the Sunday and Tuesday I had two different women wait on me Karen and Shirley who were both brilliant, very friendly and efficient and a credit to the company. Monday was a different scenario altogether, I had a bloke waiting my table. He stuck me round the corner then totally forgot I existed. I had to go hunting for him 15 minutes later to ask exactly how long it took to get served. He finally took my order and was not of the standard of the females working there. Luckily after he took my order I never saw him again and one of the female members of staff served me. She was like the others who worked there efficient, pleasant and a credit to her company
