Description: The Greets Inn at Warnham is an historic village pub, parts of which date back to the 14th Century. Inside this delightful village inn is an inviting bar serving Cask Marque accredited ales and a superb selection of wines. The cosy restaurant makes dining under the heavy beamed ceiling of the inn an absolute treat, with menus serving fabulous dishes made using locally sourced Sussex produce – it truly is some of the best rustic country dining to be found in and around the Horsham area. A relaxed ambience makes spending time with family and friends a real joy, especially when the open fires are roaring and the ever-hospitable proprietors, Duncan & Natalie Entwistle, start roasting chestnuts and marshmallows. The Greets Inn is a place for shaping memories to last a lifetime, as well as enjoying fabulous food in the Horsham area. In the warmer months, you can relax in the landscaped garden, which quickly becomes an extension to the restaurant, with eating ‘al fresco’ alongside the colourfully planted borders a highlight of summer. The Greets Inn is at the heart of Warnham village life, attracting food-lovers from the wider Horsham area and beyond who regularly visit to enjoy a true taste of Sussex.

Found this little pub on Tripadvisor, and as promised the food was amazing! Gorgeous sunday roasts with delicious puddings. Generous servings and reasonably priced, would definitely go again :)

Pub itself is a little old-y world-y but cosy, especially with the open fires. Busy but I think that's a good sign!

Reccomend the fish pie it was very tasty, the beefburger meal was so large it is not for the faint hearted. Lovely log fires and excellent service. Will return.

“Proper grub in a proper pub”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We went as a family group on 17th March.

The surroundings are one of best things about the place: it hasn't been tampered with, prettified and plasticked; gastro'ed or generally mucked around with and is MUCH the better for that. It is still real - real flagstones, real settles (in places), real fires and old beams and ironwork, real scrubbed tables. It made me realise how sadly rare these surroundings have become..

You'd expect it to be busy on a Sunday and it was, but not noticeably except for the moment we were encouraged to leave at the end of our meal because there were people waiting to sit - at 2.45pm. The only off note in the visit in fact. Everyone seemed to be seated and small children were cute, well-behaved with the decibel levels low. It was more than possible to hold conversations and forget there were others relatively close by.

Added to this was the personal service at the tables by a group of confident, relaxed, friendly and helpful waitresses (which also helped the place to feel uncluttered, since rounds are brought to the tables, thereby significantly reducing the public traffic to and fro). They were attentive without being irritating and made a special effort to keep a small boy happy by magicking some toffee sauce (not on the menu) for his ice-cream pudding.

The food was relatively basic, but well done. Much was clearly home prepared and all very reasonably priced (for six people including 2 rounds of drinks, the bill came to just over £107 for two courses each). The home-made tartar sauce was a dream and comes highly recommended: full of dill pickles, capers with just a touch of fennel fronds, it will be very difficult to go back to inferior processed varieties.. The roast potatoes were also praised by those who had them.

Lovely, traditional surroundings and well worth a family visit.
