Had a meal at The Lintot last night. There were seven of us and a two course meal cost each of us about £11. The portion sizes were more than adequate and the quality was good. We asked for a particular bottle of wine priced at £10.50 and they recommended a different one which was £2 cheaper. Very impressed. The service was good at the bar and we were warned as soon as we went in that there was only one chef working and that there would be a 30 minute wait for food. Most places take your money then tell you about the delay. I would definitely recommend this pub for a good quality, value for money night out.

Recently stopped here for lunch and left far from impressed.
The bar area appeared spacious and comfortable and first impressions were good but having waited 30 mins I was presented with a dried offering that bore very little resemblance to what was described on the menu. My request for additional gravy was met with a reply that verged on open hostility so deciding that an argument over a £4.95 lunch was not worth the effort I left and will not return.

friendly server(whom I might add is always helpful and pleasant)Rani. However, waited so long for food and when it came wasnt worth the wait.Microwaved to an inch of its life, rubbery as so overdone.Naffs me off that you have to pay extra if you want to switch say peas for salad garnish-WHY??Why also do you have to pay for gravy with pie, surely it should be an accompaniment. You need to up the stakes and bring back the more choice menu and low calorie menu as one about 2 things to choose from.If youre microwaving, check the timings and dont be mean with portions!

Dull estate-style pub, typical of the facility that developers provide as a sop to the community in order to get their wicked way.

We ate here early on a Wednesday evening, so not much going on in the way of atmosphere. Entirely staffed by three teenagers during our visit - alternatively keen, bored, and bag-of-nerves. Not entirely unpleasant inside, but the wonkily propped highchair adjacent to our table, and a family behind us making their choices from a kids menu, gave the game away that this would not be gourmet evening.

After some careful consideration, and much weighing up of the "combo" option decided to go with the steak and sausage opportunity. I actually got three dried out uniform-style bangers nuked into crumbly dryness, and a tiny little grey steak. Add a few dull chips and a smattering of frozen peas and that was job done.

It could have been worse - MRs EPR had something creatively called Aztec Pie, which appeared to be a marketing term for microwaved dog vomit. Reference to the menu suggested that this could have involved tortillas and bits of chicken in a (probably not very) spicy salsa sauce.

The chef must have been so proud.

We had just finished when two ladies at the next table received their equally unappetising burgers. They had been sitting with their table laid up before we even sat down - probably before we even arrived..

Still, ridiculously cheap, and the £20 note did give Miss Bored some cerebral exercise after I declined her credit card machine.

Overall, not an experience to recommend

Both as a family and couple we have used The Lintot and many, many occasions in the past, it has gone down hill dreadfully. The quality of the food, the quantity of the food, the service, the bar staff and the whole experience was terrible. We will not be going back again which is sad as we were very regular visitors.
