“Pleasant evening”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

I ate here with a friend. We had good service, and were not hurried, despite spending the whole evening on a couple of drinks and a main course. Good choice of juices and I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco. My pasta al ragu rustico (like a bolognese) was very tasty, large portion. My friend's swordfish with fennel salad was all right but nothing special.
Would visit again.

“AFRAID WE HAD A DISAPPOINTING EVENING”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

It was a wet cold evening and we decided to go out and enjoy ourselves at a restaurant that had many good reviews. Unfortunately I think we hit a bad evening. We started with a gin and tonic, asking for slimline, sorry run out, was the reply. But then the last bottle was found so that was good. Of course, we had to share it so half glasses only!
For starters we had Stuzzichini which sounded great but in reality they were miniature cold sausage rolls resting on a bed of very limp rocket leaves..it looked awful.
I had grilled sardines. They were a speciality maincourse and I asked if it could be served as a starter. Well, yes, but we can't change the size of the portion so you will have to have it main course size, and same price therefore. Well. the last time I had had grilled sardines was in Portugal and they were delicious, so I went for it. I was disappointed when they arrived. Two sardines lying on a bed of pitta style break covered almost entirely with a tomato sauce. The sardines' texture was not good, rather mushy and not helped by the volume of sauce. Afraid memories of Portugal did not rush back!
Our main courses were much better. We had very tasty grilled liver and a tee-bone steak. Deserts too went down well with a coffee, although that was not as hot as it should have been.
Oh, forgot to say we had a second gin and tonic and apprently they found some more slimlines, at least that was good news!
The bill came to £99.99 including the voluntary tip they had already built in! To be honest we felt that was expensive under the circumstances. I have to say though, the service itself was good, very attentive.
So, a disappointing evening. You might justifiably ask if we brought these issues to their attention? We didn't. That evening were that we wanted a quiet meal together having had a difficult day and simply didn't want any more hassle. So there you are.

“Fantastic Italian that far beats the chain restaurants in town.”
Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Went on Mothering Sunday and even though they were very busy the service was attentive and well paced. The menu has a great selection of authentic Italian dishes and lots of variety. A real treat and a great change from the chain Italians in town.

“The Best Restaurant in Horsham”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is, in our opinion, the best restaurant in Horsham, much better than the others, which are mostly chains.

Food is of a high quality, service is good, welcoming atmosphere and not stupidly expensive.

Highly recommended
