8 of us attended on Boxing Day and, unsurprisingly, we had to book and select our food from a restricted menu well in advance. Due to it being the Christmas period the restaurant was very understaffed. It seemed only the Manageress and a single waiter were serving so we had lengthy waits between all courses. The food, when it finally arrived, was tasty. However, several of us considered the portion sizes small. The skin on my salmon was black but once discarded the fish was very enjoyable.
Apparently the place is under new Management and it would be interested to discover how they cope on a normal day. The wait between courses could be deemed unacceptable. However, the service was polite and the meal good value especially for Boxing Day.
